“A gem in Santa Fe”
As I said: nice little hotel, they gave me a choice of several rooms, tasteful, quiet. An oasis of cleanliness and friendliness. Good breakfast. Great service when I needed extras. I would definitely recommend this hotel which is very near the center of Santa Fe.

My wife and I have stayed @ the El Rey Inn four times and we have never had a bad experience. The rooms are always clean, breakfast is outstanding. It's an older hotel and a must if you travel to Santa Fe by car.
“Very good experience”
My 20 year old son and I had an excellent experience at the El Rey inn. The room was comfortable and clean; one maintenance problem (fluorescent light in the bathroom) was fixed on our return in the afternoon. The garden area, which was pleasant and relaxing, was an additional treat. We stayed two nights, and could certainly recommend this inn to others.

“El REY is the KING of Santa Fe Motels”
El Rey was just as good as the reviews on Trip Advisor and all the guide books had indicated. El Rey gave us a great room even though we had booked thru Expedia for less than their web site prices. The roses were in bloom and we enjoyed quiet afternoons sitting in the courtyard watching the ravens splash in a gorgeous fountain. Location was ultra convenient Excellent hotel for Santa Fe

“The El Rey is King!”
We thoroughly enjoyed the El Rey hotel. The renovated rooms are extremely comfortable yet retain their vintage Southwestern charm. The beds and pillows were luxurious. Great pool too! We opted to stay in one of the original rooms close to the road and were concerned about noise. The staff assured us it would not be a problem because the walls are about 18" thick. They were absolutely right; we couldn't hear anything outside. Our only criticism was the excessive styrofoam we had to use for our breakfast. Get a dishwasher!
“Will stay again.”
El Rey is a clean and quaint Route 66 style motor lodge. Our stay was comfortable. There are nice gardens throughout the property. Location is good. We had traveled Route 66 from Tulsa to Santa Fe. This was by far our favorite stay on our nestalgic trip. We will be back.
“Repeat customers for lots of reasons”
Beautifully maintained grounds and lovely lobby with newspapers and computer. The free breakfast in the sunny cheerful breakfast room with nice staff is added bonus.. Rates are the best in Santa Fe. No wonder people keep returning to the El Rey year after year.
