“Great hotel, lovely view, terrific service”
Our stay at the Nautilus Calderas (actually spelt Naftilos) was awesome. Nice big rooms with a sea facing view. Great facilities including a very lovely pool. But the best bit was the amazing service from the hotel manager Hamez. He does EVERYTHING from check in to making the breakfast and is incredibly helpful and friendly. Hamez absolutely made our trip. Would definately recommend this hotel. Quick note just to explain about the Caldera view, you can not see the caldera from your rooms. There is a sea view of the beach side (which is very lovely) and then an amazing view of the caldera from the front deck by the pool of the hotel. Think this is a great compromise for those who want a caldera view, but dont want to pay the extortionate prices of having the view from your balcony. The sunrise from the deck of the hotel could rival Oia. In fact, many people not staying at the hotel drove up to the cliffs opposite Naftilos to take in the view.
“Beautiful view of the sunset”
It was wonderful - the hotel staff were friendly, the view was unbelievable and the pool was just perfect - we loved our stay at the hotel.
“Loved it!”
The hotel is located outside of Fira, but it's at the very centre of the island, so it's the best place to get around from. The hotel staff was excellent, very kind, helpful and attentive. The pool is fantastic and the breakfast buffet was great. Parking, wireless internet, breakfast buffet included.
“Best Service Ever! One of a kind.”
We had an extraordinary service by owner and staff of the hotel. Our tour bus driver did not want to drop us in front of our hotel at 8pm even though he did that to others. We could not find a taxi in the area that would bring us back to the hotel as it was the busiest time in the evening. We called hotel to help us find a taxi and the staff had trouble getting one for us too. We almost missed our flight back to Athens if not for the extraordinary service given to us by the owner who offered to pick us up with his personal car! Sincerest thanks to the owner and staff of Nautilus Dome Suites & Apartments. You are our family's best hotel during our Europe vacation this summer, not only because of this but you have a beautiful, family catered suites. We'd love to come back and stay with you again.
“Very Happy”
My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights before going to Crete and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff are lovely and very helpful. Careful with your pronounication of the hotel name though or you could end up at a totally wrong hotel in the middle of Fira, which wasn't a great start in boiling heat with a heavy suitcase!! Its about a 5 euro cab drive from the centre of Fira with a supermarket about a 5min walk away so its a great location if you don't want loads of noise in the night. Theres also a big bus/coach garage in Fira so its really easy and cheap to get around the island to visit places such as Perissa or Oia.
“Nice hotel, just need some form of transport”
This was a much cheaper alternative to staying in the centre of Thira. Really nice hotel, comfortable and clean but a long way from anywhere really. Buses not too bad but only took them once. Pros: Good value Good breakfast Clean Decent views Cons Location
“everything is nice except the far from the town”
Frankly speaking everything is nice, big room clean and comfortable. but far from fira.if you rent a car that was ok.another reason compare with other seaview hotel this is cheap
