Great place, perfect location
Overall, a great experience, as someone would expect from any Mercure hotel. The only downside was the kettle in the room. It wasn't working and they didn't fix it after I mentioned about the problem. The best part here is the location. You're a stone throw from Japan House, Itaú Cultural, SESC (all culture-based places). Paulista Avenue is the main road in the city, bringing together many shopping centres, cafés, department stores and the best connection via underground to most of the city centre.

I am sad to say that the Mercure Sao Paolo Grand Plaza Paulista is the worst hotel I have stayed in in decades. I booked a 4-star hotel but this hotel is no more than a 2-star hotel. The rooms are terrible.

The hotel was right by paulista ave. We walked to it and then up and down paulista ave many times. Lots of little shops and food especially on sunday. The housekeeping staff was good. They were always cleaning and supplying towels. The front desk staff was great- we needed to change our room to fit 3 people a few days after we got there. Instead of having to check out and wait till 2 to check back in the girl just switched are room right then. Saved us a lot of stress and she didnt have to do it. The restraunt wasn't so good, maybe it was an off day

No Internet these days!
The area is good! But overall, the hotel needs an urgent refurbish, the breakfast was bellow average (there was no butter first day), and the internet sucks! Never above 1Mb. If you need internet access, you´d better look for another hotel.

It's was a nice stay overall, but there were some things that feels like management is out of touch with the property. For example, some of the lights had wiring issues and broke. I was surprised to find there was not an iron/ironing board in the room? And then the biggest thing that stood out was not having a trash can inside the room. The only one was the small one in the bathroom for toilet paper, so it didn't have enough space for drink containers. I think if the general manager spent a night in the hotel it would provide some perspective of what could be improved. A big thing that would also greatly improve the quality are the mattresses. Outside of that though, most of the staff was helpful.

Nice location, reported that door lock reader did not work... stayed there 3 nights, went to get new keys 10 times.. internet very intermitent, when it worked was fine.. however had to call 3 times to have it reset...

Tired furniture in the room. No wifi in the room despite signal being present. Staff told me that they are aware of this but they did not do anything to fix the problem. So i could not work from room. They elaborated that they did not update the system so i could not use my iphone. Overall disappointing hotel.

The room was old fashioned, no coffee maker, the filters of the airconditioning were full with dust, took them out but nobody cleaned them for 4 days. bathroom wasn't really clean, wifi was horrible. Staff very friendly and helpful

Pros- 1. Great location both for personal or professional stay. Tons of things to do, restaurants around. 2. Safe neighborhood 3. Clean/Neat rooms - 3.5 star 4. Friendly & helpful reception staff/bell boy. 5. Decent wi-fi Cons - 1. Limited room service menu 2. Like most other Sao Paulo Hotels the breakfast is extremely basic 3. Sometimes a bit frustrating as the staff managing breakfast/room service don't speak English. Overall, would recommend a stay here.

Arrived for ck in and was told that the hotel did not have hot water and that they were going to put me on a different hotel . I think the real reason was that they sold my room to somebody else . There excuse did not stick.hotel was full and I even asked a client that was staying there and he confirmed that they had hot water

Great location
Two blocks from Paulista Ave, so easy to catch the subway or a bus, or simply go walking for shopping, restaraunts, or entertainment. About a two mile walk to Ibiripuera Park (not bad). Use uber instead of taxis! Only downfall during our visit was construction at the building next door that started early.

Convenient and quiet hotel
Room was clean and quiet with private balcony although some furniture looks old and view was blocked by another building. Location is one block away from busy street(Paulista), so great access to shopping and commercial area but quiet around the building.

Convenient clean hotel with good room size
Room and bathroom were good, breakfast was satisfactory (only bad note was for the quality of the free coffee offered), staff was helpful and front desk speak several languages. Cheaper than other 4 star hotels I use to go and more than good enough for business purposes. In addition to better coffee (not a 4 star hotel standard), the other thing that needs serious improvement is the restaurant menu. Food was ok, but the offer was extremely narrow and basic. What you would expect from a 2 star / 3 star hotel. There are restaurants around, so that is not a serious problem, but it would be very nice to have a good menu available for meetings or dinner after a long day of work. I will consider the hotel for my next visit.

Staff are super friendly
The room is spacious and the shower has great pressure. It is located on a street with little traffic and unlike many other hotels in the area it is very quiet. The breakfast is sumptuous and staff is very cordial and helpful. People in this hotel go the extra mile and their professionalism was impressive.

Good location. Hotel facilities are a bit outdated
Hotel staffs were kind. Breakfast was nice. Well located near Avda. Paulista. However, hotel facilities were a bit outdated. Overall, I think it is a nice hotel.

Everything was great, until early in the morning when there was a lot of noise from an adjacent building site. Also on the day of the check out I was overcharged for the night that was already charged on my hotels.com I called back a couple days later to get a refund and I have not seen the refund. Well located
A nice hotel in the heart of Sao Paulo. Walking distance to Av Paulista and shopping malls. Staff kind and helpful, amazing breakfast and free wifi. Rooms are pretty basic, nothing great either bad. A good stay overall.
