“Reasonably priced, large room, air conditioned in good part of city”
The only complaint I have is that the pool was not in service. I asked about the pool, but it was not fixed nor an explanation given for its not being in service while I was there, but I was only there one night. The room was large and clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable for the accommodations. The restaurant was very nice. There were at least two good, fancier restaurants nearby (one more conservative, one that was drawing a younger crowd). Overall I was very pleased. NOt many of the staff spoke extensive English, but we were able to communicate.
“Pleasant Surprise”
I stayed at the hotel for 6 days and I was very surprised that it was such a nice hotel. The rooms are exactly like the photos and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I plan to return to Sao Paulo in about a month and I will definitely stay at this hotel again. It is about 20 minutes from central but the area is is very nice and the hotel is not so large that it makes you feel like just a room number. The staff remembers your name and it is a very nice place to stay.

“Nice, but could be better”
I stayed in Tryp Itaim for an extended weekend. The location of the hotel is very good, at walking distance from Shopping Iguatemi, and some good restaurants. However, the room seemed somewhat outdated, and the breakfast buffet was good, but not as complete as one usually finds in Brasilian hotels of this category.

The stay was bad, the service desk was slow and bad prepared, the room conditions was bad, the air conditioning was noise. The breakfast was ok.
“Awful experience”
Reserved a non smoking room with double bed. Checked in, got a room with two single beds, okay no problem. room is kinda of old but okay. unpacked. went to a meeting, came back room as full of cigar smoke, turns out im on a smoking floor, clothes everthing stinking of cigar smoke. so they move me, yet again ask for room with double bed, get two singles. okay, then air conditioner, is leaking water, drip drip all night and its not even that powerfull. food is awaful and i endedm on sunday night had an omelette i ended with with food poiseing which left me with fever and diarahea for three days and my stomach is still not right, at peak times during check in and out they have one person at the desk, waits are horrendous... stay very far away
