The beachfront Lido Beach Resort is a half-mile from St. Armands Circle shops, cafes, and galleries. Downtown Sarasota, one of Florida's most culturally vibrant cities, is three miles away.
An on-site fitness center offers a wide array of cardio and weight equipment, two TVs, and showers. A 24-hour business center includes computers with high-speed Internet access. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in various public areas, including the lobby and pool deck (all included in resort fee).
Lido Beach Grille serves seafood and New American cuisine; Cafe Lido offers indoor and patio dining; and a poolside tiki bar is available. Pets are welcome.
Rooms
Lido Beach Resort offers 156 guestrooms in the four-story Main Building, and 56 suites in the 14-story South Tower. Rooms include kitchenettes and shared balconies, while suites feature kitchens and private balconies. Both kitchens and kitchenettes contain full-sized refrigerators, two-burner stovetops, microwaves, dishwashers, cookware, coffeemakers, and tableware for four.
All accommodations offer plush-top mattresses. High-speed Internet access and local calls are complimentary. Cable TV feature complimentary HBO.

Recreation
The Lido Beach Resort faces its own private stretch of a five-mile, sugar-sand beach along the Gulf of Mexico. Activities include swimming, surfing, sea kayaking, and snorkeling (equipment for rent on mainland).
Two freeform pools overlook the beach. Located in the South Tower, the fitness center is open from early morning until late night and offers a wide array of cardio and weight equipment, two TVs, and showers.

“Very Satisfied.”
My daughter and I spent 6 days at Lido beach. The hotel was great. Service was excellent. My only complaint and it is small, is we would have liked a DVD player in the room. The beach was excellent. We found many sand dollars not far off the beach. The sand out front of the hotel was silky smooth. The hotel was in great proximity to Armand circle. If you like shopping and spending time on the beach, this is the place to be. We definately will consider going back.

“Perfect Beach Weekend”
This was a last-minute vacation for our 25th Anniversary (her schedule nixed my original plan) and worked out perfectly! Staff was consistently helpful, and the best surprise was their free shuttle to/from St. Armand's Circle. Most convenient rooms are on the 8th floor of the new (south) tower which puts you closer to parking, and the restaurant "right at your door".

Hotel and grounds were well kept. Room was very nice the kitchenette was great for breakfast, snacks. The bottled water every day was nice for taking to the beach. Pool area & beach were great. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants.
“Great place to go and relax and forget about all your troubles”
Very nice place to stay. Great location for just about anything you want to do shop, eat, drink, night life. They have two pool one for adults and one for the kids. They also have 3 spas, very nice to relax in at night.

Our stay was outstanding. We stayed in Jr Suite overlooking the pool and Gulf. It could not have been better. The room was perfect. The staff friendly. Service was great. Beach right out front of the resort. Close to shopping and restaraunts. Cant wait to go back!
“Great Hotel right on the beach”
This was a great place to enjoy the beach in FL. The beach is right there in front of the pool and tiki bar. You don't have to walk too far to get there. The main building (not the tower) definitely shows its age, but the room was still comfortable. Our package included free breakfast at the Lido Grill and it was wonderful. The food at the Cafe was good too. I thought the food at the Cafe was very reasonably priced and great tasting for hotel food. We did the shuttle to St Armands once and it was fine, but if you have a car then I recommend driving if you want to be on your own schedule. We never had a problem finding parking. We had to wait 15-20 minutes to get a shuttle to take us there. Going back we just happened to snag one dropping people off.
“Best Vacation Experience”
This was one of the best vacation experiences we have had in a long time. Lido Beach is so gorgeous with its light blue water and white sand. Lido Beach Resort made a perfect combination with the beach. Even though we were not oceanfront, it was still a great room. We were in the deluxe kitchenette which was just the perfect size for two people. The grounds were gorgeous especially the tropical area with the waterfalls and relaxation area. The view from the dining room on the eighth floor was breathtaking, especially at sunset. We also ate at the cafe by the waterfall. All the food from the resort was delicious (especially the key lime pie at the cafe). We hated leaving at the end of our 3 night stay, but we will definitely go back. All the staff from housekeeping, concierge the restaurant staff and the pool/beach staff were great. You couldn't ask for a better staff.
