“A good place to stay but can't wait for renovations!!”
The staff at the Carlton Inn were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was older and needed upgrading, the staff said they were in process of doing that. The beds were horribly uncomfortable!!! This is the most important thing for me in staying at a hotel/motel and the beds were completely uncomfortable! It was like sleeping on the floor! I hope when they renovate they choose good quality beds that will allow their future guests a good nights rest!
“We'd go back”
The hotel breakfast was quite expensive and not very good. We ate at Denny's across the street. The pool did not appear to be open. The pool was not clean and the furniture was stacked and/or not clean enough to sit on in early July.
“Nice, very quiet hotel.”
The Carlton Totem Lake is a nice, clean hotel. The most notable positive feature was how quiet it was! That is a big plus when one wants to rest. The staff was friendly, helpful and took good care of us. Though there appeared to be some "deferred maintenance" issues...ie...paint and trim, we would give the hotel an overall rating (our scale) of 2.5. We would stay there again.
“Kirkland hotel by the marsh walk”
The hotel was clean and comfortable and convenient. Not only was it convenient to freeways, but there were shops and restaurants and a movie theater nearby. There was a walking trail that circled through a marshy area that had interesting plants and animals.
“kirkland”
upon arrival, the front desk employees were very helpful and polite. the first room we were given has a peculiar smell and exchanged rooms with no problems. The second room was nice, but the maid kept forgetting to replace all the towels every day. The front desk employee on duty was very accomodating in providing us with the towels, but we had to ask for them every day.
“close to hospital”
close to hospice and hospital that we needed, will be really nice once renovations are done, rooms quiet.
“One night business trip”
Older facilities. Drapes not well connected to low quality runners. Good for a one or two-night business layover, but I would not take my wife unless all else failed. Very good price compared with downtown Bellevue hotels.
“Only for the Tolerant”
Its rooms are quiet, spacious and comfortable, it's close to the 405 but not affected by its noise, there is a comfy reading room overlooking the swimming pool (which in turn overlooks a beautiful bird sanctuary)and the staff are friendly and sincerely interested in your comfort and welfare. But it's operated on a shoestring budget and nothing (including cleaning your room) ever happens in a hurry. It reminds me of small, family-operated Asian hotels, which I quite enjoy but which probably wouldn't impress the impatient American business traveller. I'd stay there again, but a lot of people wouldn't.
“No comments as too far from our Convention venue in Seattle city.”
The person who helped to book this hotel for us herself did not know that this hotel was too far to go and come back everyday from Seattle where we were to attend functions from 4-7-11 to 8-7-11!! So I am unable to really give exact comments, sorry. Thank you.
“Bad wi-fi access...”
I knew from the price that I can't expect that much for the overall quality of this hotel, but I chose here to save cost while being able to access the internet. However, even accessing internet was barely possible. I wouldn't stay here next time.
