“A fantastic deal”

The hotel staff were wonderful -- especially the manager, who let me into my room at 9:30 in the morning after 20 hours of travel from the United States and through the Paris train system to Rouen. The room was basic, but very clean, with a brand new bathroom. I had a balcony that wound around the side of the hotel for a view of Rouen Cathedral. This is a great deal. The only problem would be for travelers who are not in great physical shape -- there is no elevator, and I was on the 6th floor.

“Good place to stay”

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the cathedral from our room. It was in a perfect location to walk to the centre of the city, with the cathedral just a block away. There is parking available on the street as well, with no charge overnight, which is a welcome cost saver.

“Comfortable, Good value for money”

The hotel room was small (better than average for France) and basic, but clean and cheerful. Wifi worked well. Even had a view of Rouen cathedral (very close by). Very good value for the relatively low cost (for France).

“Low cost, low quality”

I stayed one night in the hotel and the room is ideal to stay as less as possible in the room but enough to sleep there. The cost was also low and the views from the room to the cathedral were alright. It was just clean and the bed was not the most comfortable. But it was cheap.

“Great view if you like climbing stairs”

Overall a pleasant place to stay once you find it. Be sure you have a local map since this hotel is located on a street which is one short block long. Very close to the Cathedral and to the river. Small frig in the room and a nice variety of breakfast items (unlike the typical French hotel fare). There is NO ELEVATOR so be prepared to pack your gear up several flights of stairs.

“So-So”

No lift, but you have to expect that in Europe - unfortunately the stairs were downright dangerous - unlit and steep. The night we stayed there was a group of rather inconsiderate US people that didn't seem to realize they weren't the only people staying in the hotel, waking everyone up at 5:30am as they left - the walls/doors are thin. The great thing is its proximity to the Rouen Cathedral - we could see it out the window and it was a quick walk.

“Acceptable”

The room was a bit small, the breakfast a bit expensive compared to the service offered. For the rest the hotel was acceptable. It deserve a mention the astonishing view on the Cathedral anyway.

“Just the basics”

If you only need a clean bed and a bath, then this can be the place for you. The location is convenient to all of the sights of Rouen. We were able to park on the street across from the hotel and we could walk through the city from the hotel. The hotel is a bit tired and needs some TLC.

“Average”

Nothing special, no character. A basic hotel room. It's close to the Cathedral.

“Be Aware”

My room smelled like freezer burned icecream. After I aired it out by opening the window for the entire length of my stay, it wasn't as`bad. The bathroom was never able to be aired out however, and it smeled 10 times worse thant the room, I had to hold my breath everytime I went in. Not worth the central location!
