“Superb”
A very recommendable place to stay during vacation/business trips. The service is superb as most of Korea is! One downside of this hotel is that there is no Wifi in your hotel room, only in the lobby. Overall, very well kept hotel and don't forget to stop by the Night club in the base level ^^
“A gem in Seoul”
I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Riviera. Staff is very friendly and is eager to help. I would want, however, a complimentary coffee machine.
“Nice Place, Good Price and Location”
Stayed there two nights and overall were a nice choice in regards to price, quality, and location.
“Best deal in town”
Apparently this hotel has the loca reputation of being a "party hotel" and not a business hotel, however I found the Riviera Hotel prefectly met my business traveller needs: Nice, quiet and clean rooms, Internet acess, good restaurants including a good breakfast buffet, top class gym with swimming pool and spa etc. The location of the hotel in town was also fine, and an airport bus (606) can take you directly to the hotel. I would be very happy to come back.
“Great Find”
When all the other hotels were "booked," Riviera had availability, and it was well worth it. Easy access to subway system and thus the rest of the city is minutes away.
“Stayed at this hotel in August”
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights on a stopover visit to Seoul. This is a wonderful hotel and excellent value for the price. The rooms were well appointed, quiet and very clean. The front desk staff spoke English very well and were very helpful in booking tours or tickets or just general city information. The hotel has a big 4 lane length pool in the basement along with a large gym and a Korean sauna ( costs extra). If there is a downside to this hotel is that it is a little out of the main tourist area. If you are looking for something in the tourist main throughfare this isn't it. The nearest subway stop is about a 6-7 min walk and we found it took a good 30-45minutes to get into downtown Seoul. We enjoyed the location as I don't like to be in the "tourist" area. The huge COEX mall and convention center is about a 5 minute cab ride or you can walk in about 15 minutes. This place is massive and has just about anything you could ever need.
“Shhhh-- don't tell anyone”
This gem in Gangnam is not to be missed. If you are attending a conference at COEX or just enjoying Kangnam's shopping, The Riviera is convenient and so comfortable. For the same price you would pay for a shabby barebones box in Itaewon, you get excellent service, posh rooms, a fitness center and a sauna/steam club. The staff is attentive and helpful. The rooms feature large comfortable beds with soft linens and comforters. Unlike lesser places, temperature controls are at your command.
“A very good and easy option- if you can get a good price!”
This hotel has a direct bus stop from the airport for $15 (~ 90 minutes), an area that's a little like downtown in Seoul. The hotel was excellent the people spoke English as well as Korean. In all, it was far easier than I expected. Also, there were some delicious food places next door. The hotel restaurant and other areas seemed a little expensive, so don't be afraid to branch out. One other tip- They don't seem to have 2 double beds in Korea, so if you are with a friend and don't want to share, you need to choose the twin bed option (not double).
“A very nice hotel for the price”
Overall, I was very pleased with the Hotel Riviera. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are modern (apparently having been renovated recently). That bathrooms are also very nice. The hotel is also near a tube station, though on an East-West line which makes getting into downtown Seoul somewhat difficult. That being said, taxis are very cheap in Seoul so getting to the main line, at Apgujeong, takes only 10 minutes and US$4-5. Two major downsides of the hotel: First, the staff's English language skills were very poor. Second, the pool and leisure areas are dated and not seemingly well-maintained. Overall, I recommend this hotel.
“Great Hotel for Business”
Great Gym and activity center, make sure to try the indoor golf course, I will try to stay here anytime I am in Korea.
