“SEOUL FOR A SLEEP AT THE SHILLA”
THE SHILLA IS SUPERB. ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE HOTELS. STAFF CANNOT DO ENOUGH FOR YOU.
“Pearl of Seoul. Outstanding service,food..... A must in Seoul”
Bravo Shiila! Outstanding Hotel,Service,Food!!!!!!!!! A must in Seoul for business or Leisure.
“A magnificent hotel”
A luxury hotel, close to the city centre but slightly apart from the hustle and bustle, with nice views of Namsan Mountain and Seoul Tower. Popular with Koreans themselves, especially the business and diplomatic community, but tourists are treated like royalty too. Our room was excellent. Although not huge, it was well appointed, comfortable and spotless. The hotel restaurants were good, if expensive, but room service dining was a delightful experience not to be missed. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to some of the popular tourist and shopping areas of the city - a stress-free way to get there (and back). There is even a shuttle bus from the main gate to the front door of the hotel (it is a bit of a climb). The Shilla was our base for 10 days in Seoul and could not be faulted. But the best thing about it, by far, were the staff. They respond willingly, promptly and cheerfully to your every need. They even manage to anticipate quite a few of them. Nothing was too much trouble for them. And, like most places in South Korea, they will not under any circumstances accept a tip. It seems enough for them to have been of service and to have brightened your day. Charming, gracious and delightful people, like most of the South Koreans we met. If we return to Seoul, it will definitely be to the Shilla. It was the highlight of our trip.
“Shilla Hotel -- Seoul”
This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in anywhere in East Asia. Service is particularly good. The operator always addressed me by name. Concierge was very quick to satisfy requests. And the food was particularly good.
“Fabulous! Get spoiled at the Shilla!”
We payed for the upgraded room on the executive level... really well worth doing! The breakfast and evening cocktail hour food was fabulous! We looked forward to 'hotel' food every day!
“Definitely not at 5 star hotel...this hotel should be a 10 Star!”
An amazing experience at the Shilla Seoul. The sumptuous food, the professionalism and courteous nature of the staff were second to none. Overall, the hotel boast sophistication and luxury. Absolutely amazing experience. Definitely going back!!
“Wish to go back”
Great hotel, very much impressed with facility and high quality customer service. Staffs were very polite and friendly, room was very clean and astonishingly quiet nevertheless I stayed there on weekend. When I booked my room online, I put special request as "higher floor with nice view". I was satisfied to have found they assigned my room on 21st floor(they had 22 floors) and it's got Seoul Tower view from window. I can't say location is very convenient because guests have to transfer subway lines to go to downtown, but the trip doesn't take long and hotel offer free shuttle bus between hotel and subway station or downtown, though frequency was limited. I would love to go back again, only if I could afford to this 5-star hotel rate.
“Perfect Holiday”
Beautiful Hotel....treated extremly welcome by all hotel staff. Could not have been better.nd
“Superb service and superb room”
We stayed at the Shila hotel for two nights and everything was wonderful from the service to the roomy room. At the check-in, we added another bed for my son to sleep more comfortably and FYI, I had three kids with me and the king size bed was very comfortable for me and the other two kids and one portable bed was just fine for my older son. One draw back is the distacnce from the hotel entrance to the main street. However, since this hotel is considered as a seclusive and top hotel, that could be acceptable. The employees at the lobby are very friendly and they treat you like a loyalty and thank you for that. My sons were very impressed with their service and want to go back there again when we visit Korea. Over all, it is a fine hotel!!
“Best Hotel Experience”
Worth every dollar spent. The Shilla is magnificent and most importantly the staff is remarkable. Awesome!!!
