Rooms
Le Royal Méridien Shanghai guestrooms are decorated in ultra-modern style décor, with floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall windows providing unobstructed views of the city and its skyline.
Guestrooms feature glass walls that separate the bedroom, along with earth-tone coloured wallpaper and carpets. Marble-outfitted bathrooms have rainforest showers.
White cotton bed linen is used throughout, with down duvet and pillow sets. Silk throw blankets and cushions are draped across the bed and sofa respectively. Hypo-allergenic bedding is available.
Rooms also feature high-speed and wireless Internet access, along with plasma TVs equipped with DVD/CD players. Complimentary designer toiletries are provided in all guestrooms.

Ai Mei Chinese Restaurant - Chic, contemporary interior. Located on level 8. Features a stunning aquarium at the entrance. Seats 360 people, with 19 private dining rooms. Serves traditional Cantonese cuisine with popular dishes from Sichuan and Shanghai. Open from late morning till early evening.
789 Nanjing Lu Bar + Lounge - Located at the top of Le Royal Méridien Shanghai on floors 65 to 66. With 360-degree views of the city, it is one Shanghai's most fashionable venues for live music and signature cocktails. Open from late afternoon till late evening.
Allure Fine French Cuisine - A restaurant with modern decor and a view of the patio on the lobby floor. Features cuisine reflecting the regional styles of southern France and the Mediterranean. Open from late morning till early evening.
Le Salon - A cozy lobby-level lounge serving cocktails and refreshments from early morning till late at night.
Le Bistrot All Day Dining Restaurant - Located on the lobby floor. Seats 180 people. Offers breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, and Sunday champagne brunch.
Favola Italian Restaurant - Located on the 8th floor. Offers seasonal Italian cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients in an open-view kitchen.
Recreation
Le Royal Méridien Shanghai has a modern on-site fitness centre. Equipment includes treadmills fitted with LCD screens, strength training machines, and free weights.
Aerobics and yoga classes are provided at a nearby health club 100 metres (109 yards) away. The ice-skating rink is across the road from the hotel.

“Sheets only washed if you ask!!!”
Great hotel. Lobby is on the third floor which is slightly anoying but not a problem. They will only wash the sheets if you place a card on the bed, this is the default. Other hotels have the default to wash the sheets unless you put out an alternative card.
“Great Hotel at an even better location.”
Excelent location with alot to do and see as soon as you step out of the lobby. Stayed closer to the bund before and I will choose this location from now on. The hotel was very nice, including the pool and spa. And the breakfast buffet also top notch.

Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. We had an unfortunate experience in Shanghai, and the hotel personnel were wonderful in helping us. I would most definitely recommend it.
“Fantastic modern hotel, in heart of downtown Shanghai”
From the initial moment we saw the hotel the building looked impressive. Well designed not to overpowering in the skyline. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, our room was perhaps not as large as other hotels in Shanghai, but imaculate and well designed. Gym and spa facilities were excellent, food and afternoon tea were very enjoyable. Would definately return.

Rooms are spacious with 42" TVs. Very friendly staff. Business floor rooms still don't include internet. I will definitely return because it was a great value compared to other 5 star hotels. The only downside is that the internet is not free and the breakfast selection is not as robust or varied as other hotels in this class. NOTE: I value brkfst because it is the only none asian meal that I usually get to eat.
“Good choice”
The hotel was clean, friendly and close to shops. I had a customer with me that wanted to purchase items to bring home. I would stay at this hotel again. We were treated with true VIP service. This is a great value. I looked for the best hotel and price for several days. Cut to the chase and pick this one.

“Fantastic centrally located place to stay”
I was lucky enough to stay in a deluxe room with impressive view through huge floor to ceiling windows. Wonderful room with clear glass (and screen for the modest) into the shower/bathroom. Very comfortable with excellent service. The bar on the 66th floor is worth a visit for the spectacular views. Very good Chinese restaurant. Had the swimming pool to myself! You can tell I had a great time!

Love the location of the hotel, very convenient to the shhopping area on Nanjing Rd Pedestrian mall. I had stayed there for a week to visit the World expo. I had eaten at the Ai Mei (Cantonese restaurant) twice and was impressed with food, quality, service and surroundings. I also ate at the Bistro once. Food was fine, not as good as the Chinese restaurant. I also had afternoon tea there as well. The chocolate cake was excellent. Most staff spoke English and was very helpful. Particular mention would be Max at the Concierge, very helpful and recommended us to go to a nearby Mixed Chinese cuisine restaurant in an old Art Deco building, Xian Chong Fang, which was excellent both in food and service. I would stay in this hotel again as it is close to many landmarks, the shopping district and many wonderful restaurants and eateries.
“Excellent hotel in top location!!”
Lovely well appointed rooms with beautiful views (ask for a view towards the Bund and Pudong). The staff were all exceptionally courteous, efficient and most helpful. We stayed in 2 other top hotels in Shanghai (one near the Bund, the other in Pudong) and Le Royal Meridien would be our clear choice for our next visit to Shanghai.
