“value for money”
Good hotel and true value for money. Near to all business districts and shopping areas
“A litle off the tourist track, but MRT station behind hotel.”
Having stayed in Shanghai before, we wanted to hotel in a differnt location, to where we had stayed before, and this hotel provided us with that. As indicated, it is a little off the tourist track, however there is an MRT station, within 5 min walking distance from the hotel. The Shanghai MRT is very easy to work out with english instructions everywhere, and the MRT IS the best (and cheapest) way to get around town. All the hotel staff we encountered were very pleasent, and helpful. There was also a machine in the lobby which could answer questions in english about where to eat, shop etc. Our hotel room was a little "tired" and a renovation would have certainly given it a huge lift. We felt the cleanliness of the room could have been a wee bit better. (maybe it was because the tired factor as mentioned above, the room felt a bit dirty) That said it, both of these I would discribe as "want" rather than "need" as certainly both were adequate. Would we stay there again? - yes (if it suited or purpose) as we saw a different part of Shanghai (more of real Shanghai, as the surrounding area was residential) and I think the price we paid for our room was fair and reasonable.
“David”
Everything (location, transportation, service) is good. Except that the facility is bit old.
“Good Hotel”
Clean, very near to metro station.
“Good location and Good Value”
Next to the MRT on Line 3, Line 4 and Line 7 which is very convenient. Good value includes buffet breaksfast. Room was clean and very well sound proofed with double glazing. Some renovation underway but I would certainly recommend this hotel to any budget minded traveller for business or just getting the feel of the city.
“Convenient hotel in an outlying neighborhood”
The Hotel is convenient as it is located near two subway stations so getting around Shanghai is easy. The neighborhood in mainly residential which is OK if you want to mix in with the locals. My reservation included breakfast which was very convenient and the food was good Chinese style breakfast food. The tables were not the cleaniest everything else was fine. My room was small but OK since I only needed a place to sleep at night. The room had a TV and internet cable. The bathroom was clean and plenty of hot water.
