“beautiful Place you wont want to leave”
this place was beautiful if you are in a bad mood simply look out your balcony at the entire ocean close enough to jump in we stayed at thre other supposedly four star hotels and this just blew tham away.
“good place to stay for business or liesure next to shenzhen”
good hotel with good facilites. convenient to HK ferries to HKG or to HK Central Macau ferry terminal. good english speaking staff and very helpful.
“Still a very nice hotel”
Reviewed this hotel a few weeks ago and still as good as usual. Service not as overpowering as a lot of hotels try to make it, but excellent and consistent, and really genuinely good service when you need something. Rooms a little dated, especially the bathrooms, but maintenance very good and actually cleaner than almost anyplace I have been including much more expensive hotels. Only thing that bothered me was that there are no non-smoking rooms in the single hillview category that I booked. Costs more if you want a non-smoking room. Would be better if they were willing to upgrade to a non-smoking room if available at checkin. Smell not too bad, but not great for a non-smoker, and I did book a smoking room since there was no choice at the lowest rate. Or just book the more expensive room if smoke smell bothers you. Restaurants are good. Buffet is reasonably priced and good, especially since dinner includes soft drinks, water, and beer, though I would like to see a better variety of greens for the salad and some whole-grain bread or rolls, and a better selection of fruit at breakfast - mostly watermelon and bananas, and occasionally apples. Outstanding feature of breakfast, however, is that they make eggs, pancakes, and waffles to order - even the best hotels here haven't figured that out yet. And green (Chinese) tea comes in a pot with leaves, not bags - much better, and is refilled. Nan Hai Hotel is older and doesn't flaunt it, but has class and integrity.
“Very good location”
The hotel staff was extremely nice and friendly. I felt very comfortable staying at the Nan Hai Hotel. It was very convenient for my travel being so close to the ferry terminal.
“Favorite hotel in Shenzhen”
A somewhat faded older resort hotel on the coast, but well maintained with excellent and friendly service. Not a western hotel, but in an area with a lot of foreigners, imitation restaurants from just about everywhere else, bars, shopping. Used to be a lot more nightlife in the area but has calmed down, probably for the best. Hotel grounds a relaxing place to sit or walk. Don't expect to get to the beach (there is none and a coastal strip is secure anyway). Tropical atmosphere. Always nice relaxing music in the hotel. Restaurants good. Exceptionally attractive buffet restaurant makes eggs, pancakes, waffles to order (unlike most hotels in Shenzhen).
“Nice Hotel in Shekou”
this is a nice hotel right next to the ferry station. The rooms are clean but a bit small compared to other chinese hotels. The bed was a typical chinese hotel bed, a bit too firm for me but not uncomfortable. You are right next to the ferry terminal and can take a trip to Zhuhai, Macao or Honk Kong for the day to go site seeing or shopping. You can also catch the ferry to Hong Kong airport and not have to go through Hong Kong immigration. The hotel is near Sea World which is a small attraction with an aquarium and restaurants. The price of food here is somewhat on the expensive side for China (about the same as restaurants in US). The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful as long as your request is not too out of the ordinary. The one downfall is that you have to pay extra to use the pool or the exercise equipment.
“Location Location Location”
This hotel is situated next to the Hong Kong Airport ferry so you can get a ferry direct to China without any trouble. The service even collects your luggage and within an hour you will be in Shenzhen China. I have stayed there twice and found it to be a friendly hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it. If there was one issue it would be the beds. Seems in Asia a hard bed is the norm, and would have liked the something softer.
“Nanhai Recommended”
My stay at the Nanhai Hotel was pleasurable as expected. I have stayed there before and will again. It is enjoyable to sit on the front porch at breakfast in a tropical region such as southern China and look out at the palm trees and the bay. There is construction in the area during this stay and that was somewhat disrupting.
“Great location next to the ferry terminal”
This is an older hotel but well located next to the Shekou ferry terminal. From this terminal one can catch a boat to Hong Kong (Central) and Macao very conveniently. Ferry rides will be in the 50-70 minute range. I chose this hotel for this very reason - I need to have meetings in Hong Kong and Macao. Despite its age, the hotel is fairly well-kept. Internet was free in the room and there is Wi-Fi access in the coffee shop. There is also a gym and a spa where one can get a foot or body massage. Hotel guests enjoy a small discount. The only major negative was the room was kept way too cold for my comfort, and there is no in-room control to allow me to do any adjustment. This is the major drawback in my opinion.
“Good Hotel Near Shenzhen”
Very nice hotel in Shekou walking distance from the pier used by the express ferry from Hong Kong airport. Nice grounds, friendly staff, good English skills. Not the most convenient location if your desire is to operate in downtown Shenzhen.
