“Brilliant facilities, delightful staff.”
We were greeted with a cool drink, hand towel, and especially the smiles. The room was well furnished and the hotel facilities were brilliant. What made the difference to other accommodation options was the staff especially the reception staff who accommodated every wish. I thoroughly enjoyed the soothing morning and evening music on a wooden instrument played by a delightful young man. I would recommend the Royal Angkor Resort and Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing break from the hustle of Siem Reap.
“Wonderul stay in Siem Reap”
My wife and I stayed here for two nights in May and were very pleased with the resort. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, really making their guests feel at home in the place. The room we had was a little smaller than some of the rooms we had at comparable hotel/resorts in Thailand, but it was very comfortable nonetheless. The bathroom tub had jacuzzi jets, which my wife really enjoyed. And the pool is amazing; it's massive and kept at a pleasantly warm temperature. My one complaint is that the free shuttle service into town should be a little more frequent (should be hourly instead of once every two hours). All in all, however, I think this place is a gem, especially given the quality to price ratio. I would definitely recommend Royal Angkor to others.
“First time in Cambodia”
Overall this was a lovely hotel. The room itself wouldn't be considered 5 star in the states, but it was still quite nice. The attentive service from the hard working staff was very nice. It was our first time in Cambodia and we were very pleased with our accomodation. Tuk tuks to get you into town are inexpensive and plentiful. If you get a taxi at the airport, you can often luck out and have a driver who is willing to pick you up daily and drive you everywhere. We had one, named Mr. Broos who was always ready, punctual, gave us ideas of where to go, had cold water always ready, just a great guy!
“Would happily stay here again”
Just back from a trip that included a three-night stay at the Royal Angkor, and I have to say we were really very favourably impressed. The staff are very well trained and extremely attentive, the hotel facilities are terrific (what a pool!) and even the food is good and not overpriced (for a resort hotel). We would definitely stay here again.
“First Class Hotel and Service”
Everything you would expect from a top hotel including complementary room upgrades. Service was excellent but not overdone. Location is some way from the town so it requires a tuk-tuk ride to/from the town if you want to go to a restaurant in the evening. The hotel does run a shuttle bus but it does not run late enough or regularly enough. Last bus 20:00hr.
“Cambodia”
The Royal Angkor Resort provided excellent service, and the staff were very professional and courteous. I would stay there again.
“Amazing staff and great resort with perfect location for sights, airport and town”
We stayed in a bungalow with 2 bedrooms which was perfect for our family. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly, and helpful. One could tell they all enjoyed working there and making the guests comfortable. The pool is wonderful--perfect way to relax after a day of sight seeing. The tours arranged from the hotel were fabulous, too. The hotel is just a quick tuk tuk ride away from the center of town, the sights of Angkor wat and the airport. Our bungalow was very comfortable and quiet with a lot of space. We definitely would recommend this hotel to families, couples, or groups.
“Outstanding hotel”
Pleasant staff from checking in, restaurant and checking out. Cleanliness all over the place.
“Cambodia Hotel to stay at”
Hotel Staff very helpful and friendly. Beds comfortable for asian standards. A bit hard but not overly. Buffet Breakfast had all the basics. The hotel a close tuk tuk ride to most places, and the hotel will arrange transportation to temples for an additional cost if you want air conditioning. The spa was very affordable, and our 5 year old and 8 year old even enjoyed a 1 hour massage with mom and dad in the doubles massage rooms. The gym is the only area that needs improvement. Equipment is dated and not functioning very well. It was also very dusty and dirty, as it doesn't appear to be used. But if you are just touring the temples, you won't need the gym anyway and can settle for the cool pool, that was very clean.
“Nice hotel close to airport!”
We stayed here 1 night and arrived at BKK airport at approximately midnight. We easily found the free transport to the hotel from the airport after leaving immigration. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. We heard some room noise from the room next door to us when a child started to cry as we were unpacking in our room. We got a good rate for this hotel on expedia, otherwise it is kind of expensive.
