“Quiet Getaway”

We are an American couple that chose Angsana for a one night getaway from Singapore. This hotel was absolutely amazing. The service, amenities, and room were well worth the price, if not more. The restaurants were pricey, but not more than any other hotel restaurant. There is a restaurant with lunch and dinner right by the ocean, an indoor restaurant with a larger menu, and 24 hours room service with the same menu as the indoor restaurant. The food was very good and there was a great variety of Indonesian, Chinese, and Western dishes. The included buffet breakfast was well worth it; large selection including pastries, made-to-order omelet station, and hot and cold meats. The pool area is very beautiful and clean. Towels are always available and the ocean side restaurant can deliver drinks to your poolside or ocean side layout. The ocean itself is clean and calm. We rented a jet ski for $50 for a half our and it was completely worth the price. For $80, you can rent for a full hour and tour the nearby coastline. There are also ATV, kayak, snorkel and banana boat rentals. The hotel does feature a spa and gift store, but we did not visit either. We had the superior room and it was very well apportioned with a queen bed, sitting area, large bathroom, and balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. Its best to ask for a room on the 4th floor furthest from the lobby.

“Very very nice”

Great hotel if you like Asian comfort, SPA, great beach, playing Golf. Beach is great, nice beachfront bar/restaurant. Golf course is just beside and very empty during the day. Everybody is superfriendly - can just recommend this place.

“Excellent hotel”

This was our first time to Bintan and we were quite impressed by the Angsana Resort. The price was good and the facilities were excellent. The private beach was lovely and the pool was great (although somewhat small). The hotel staff were quite friendly and helpful. I believe all rooms have a partial ocean view (although ours was mostly blocked by palm trees). Lots of mosquitoes at night, though. During the day, large monitor lizards walk around the hotel grounds. A great place to bring children, too (there were many young families staying at the hotel). I would definitely go back.

“Anticipation of wishes”

Service at the Hotel was extremely friendly and helpfull. They even helped to get a much cheaper spa outside the resort. Service anticpated your wishes. If you stand somewhere more than some minutes they asked you how they could help you. Restaurants with good food of all categories are available. Drinks are quite expensive.

“A wonderful place to relax and unwind!”

From the minute we stepped off the airport shuttle at the hotel we were surrounded by smiles! Every hotel employee was sincerely friendly and attentive. The hotel buildings and grounds were kept immaculate. Our one bedroom suits (we had two) were surprisingly spacious. They had a kitchenette, dining table, living space as well as a large bedroom and bathroom. The furnishings were comfortable but not lavish. The daily housekeeping and turn down service were excellent and we were asked at check-in which times would be convenient for us. The spa services and surroundings were everything you'd expect at a high end resort. A big surprise was the main on-site diningroom. The prices were very reasonable and the selection was varied enough that we never left the resort for meals. The operating hours were such that a meal was always available. The beach is beautiful, but there was a bit of a trash problem. The pool is excellent, but it would have been nice to have it remain open in the evenings. Apparently there can be a problem with mosquitos and flies as they gave us (and had available everywhere) repellent, but we had no difficulty in that area. The front desk was helpful in setting up off site excursions. That being said, the hotel is a bit remote and self contained. In the end it provided the perfect venue to relax and unwind!

“Two days at Angsana”

Having read a number of bad reviews about bin tan hotels in general i was delighted with the experience we had at Angsana. Wonderful staff, great room and view, great food, beautifully presented. Most of the reviews talked about expensive and poor food. Having come accross from Singapore where the food is very expensive and not always crash hot we were very pleasently suprised. Western menue is small, but hey, everything is imported. Pool and beach were great, with jet ski, canoes, etc available. Very little to do though outside the hotel other than elephant rides, nature walks etc, but this is a small island. At US$225 a night including a great breakfast buffet was good value. Got to add in though ferry cost from Singapore for $100 for two return plus $20 entry visa. Having come accross to Singapore for a couple of weeks from Australia to stay with our son this two day break at Angsana was worth every penny.

“Overall Very Impressed”

My wife and I stayed at this hotel during one of our stops on our honeymoon. The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous and accomodated our every request. The room was immaculate and the entire hotel was very clean and had recently been renovated. The food is good, not amazing but I think it was in line with the prices the restaurants charged. The hotel staff went out of their way to make our time very enjoyable and we had a great time. The ability to have a personal car pick us up from the ferry terminal and drop us off right at the hotel was worth every penny and the hotel has greeters waiting for you once you pass through customs to assist you to your car. The hotel was listed as a five star when we booked but it is probably closer to a high four star hotel. Overall a great experience and we will definitely go back again.

“A friendly family hotel in a beautiful setting”

Angsana Resort hotel is in a beautiful secluded setting on its in own private, white powder sand beach. Beach is sheltered and sea shallow for a long way out so perfect for kids. Good shade from loungers and trees. Gorgeous large pool is great for families with a shallow section for toddlers. Clean but not ultra modern room (decor felt at least 7 years old) with a nice terrace and amazing views of the pool and beach. En suite was a bit small and lacking in 'luxury' factor. Nice beach side restaurant. Common areas, pool, frog pond (!), terraces and beach bars are all gorgeous, romantically lit and special so that made up for the pretty average room. Very friendly and polite staff - although service was generally slow, inaccurate and lacking in customer focus in the resort's bars and restaurants. Menus were not accurate. 3 requests to get a candle for the table were ignored. Two lunch orders went very wrong. You have little choice but to go with the on site resort dining options so this wasn't pleasing. I didn't like the breakfast buffet foods being crawled over by flies. The food however was good quality, fresh and plenty of choices. Breakfast buffet selection was wonderful. The onsite Angsana Spa was fantastic and quite reasonable value for money. My partner and I had a shared treatment room partially open to the fresh air and with views of the bay - so this was very special. Spa staff were very friendly and gave great treatments.
