“Great location! Right next to Esplanade Theatres, river cruises, etc...”
I am a regular to Singapore, and will certainly be back to the Marina Mandarin. the location is great - NOT right on Orchard or Scotts road, so you get to experience the bit of Singapore that ISN'T so clausterphobic, etc... across from the river, so easy to take the ferry to Clarke Quay for dinner, cruise past the Merlion, etc... also was VERY happy to be right next door to the Esplanade Theatres - there was a music festival on while we were there, so could easily catch gigs, and just walk home - across the road! perfect!
“Very Impressed”
Hotel and staff were great, totally satisfied in that regard. Room was kept clean and staff were very helpful. However, room service breakfast was not all that good, although I have advised the hotel direct and they very kindly sent me a letter to say that the issue would be addressed, thanked me for my comments regarding staff etc and hoped I would visit again.
“best location”
should have planned to stay longer to fully enjoy this location.
“Great for Business or Shopping”
This was my 3rd stay at the Marina Mandarin. Check-in was professional and courteous, despite my providing them with a bookkeeping challenge in my paying for some colleagues' rooms. There is a huge shopping mall beneath this hotel - a mall which winds its way through several buildings. It's a 10 minute walk through a shopping mall to the metro station. Taxis are always waiting out front, too. I and our crew will be returning to this hotel next year.
“Well worth the money”
The hotel and it's room are amazing. Although there is the noise coming from the construction work at the new casino, it still shouldn't stop you from staying there.
“brilliant”
Very comfortable hotel in an excellent location, about 10 minutes' walk from Raffles. Hotel is over 25 storeys and rooms are arranged around an atrium which rises to the full height of the hotel, a very impressive spectacle. Room was huge, bed large and very comfortable, large bathroom with separate shower and bath. Would definitely stay there again.
“The unique City and excellent hotel”
Hotel is perfect in each moment. From opening doors when you get out from taxi, when service takes your luggage, when check in and later till check out and when service man will close door after you get in to taxi goint to Airport.Extremely kind people, live music every night, singing birds in the morning on corridor(special birds not wild).Buying breakfast not recomend. For half price or less you can eat the same arround multi restaurants.Don't feel lost first day just look for good place for meal from local till Irish Pub.Hotel has perfect localisation for shoppimg, leisure etc.Very well organized trips bouth by Expedia. They call you first to arrange proper time for you.
“First choice if returning to Singapore”
Stunning interior to Hotel atrium. Rooms are exactly what you would expect for a hotel of this quality. Staff are pleasant and courteous as you would expect in Singapore. One word of caution - although we had prepaid in full, they wanted to precharge $900 to my credit card just in case we had a meal there. When I said I didn't want to charge my card because of interest charges, they said thats OK can we have $900 in cash! Again, I refused so we agreed that we would pay as and when we incurred a cost. I must have looked suspicious as they came and locked up the minibar - not a great drama, but slightly irritating. Nice touch though, they bring out songbirds in the morning into the atrium so you wake up to birds tweeting which is puzzling on the first day until you find out whats going on.
“Excellent hotel, good location, good value”
We stayed for five nights at the Marina Mandarin prior to embarking on a cruise. the hotel was excellent and an upgrade promotion to the executive floor was well worth the additional cost. Staff were polite and attentive, the room was very good and the location was perfect for getting quire easily to various parts of singapore. we would definitely return and would recommend this hotel to others.
“Great experience”
Good room , good every thing
