“Small boutique hotel experience with Four Season's Service Quality”
It was part of my semi business trip and semi anniversary trip. Given budget and approximate to the downtown, I would highly rate this hotel. The day we got there they know who we are already and helped us to check in in our room. It was a good treat after long hour of flight. It's in the middle of quite interesting historic town called Tiong Bahru. There is a big bird orchestra right front of hotel every Sunday morning also Tiong Bahru Market where you can taste cheap local (but very good) food at a cost of $1 Singapore dollor. Hotel food was also quite yummy and reasonably priced. It would have been nice to have a gym as well but soon after you get here you would regret as there so many places you can walk around and also swim in their beautifully decorated window-walled swimming pool.
“For anyone who likes class outside business hotels this is the one. stylish, good value and unique.”
Hotel is easily reachable by bus and underground. Very friendly staff, clean, stylish and well decorated. Internet works at full signal strength, is fast and reliable. Rooms are pretty small but in line with the normal Singapore size. It has an outdoor pool with a nice view but if you want to train there for the olympics you need to be the size of a mouse. Best of all it has a very nice patio bar and restaurant with good food at normal prices. When a local came to meet me at the hotel she went to reception and picked up a brochure. She thought it would be very nice to stay there for her Valentines day! Highly recommendable. Good value for money!
“Fab boutique hotel”
Made a 3 night stopover in Singapore and stayed at the excellent Nostalgia Hotel. It's a little way away from most of the major hotels, in a quiet, suburban neighbourhood. I really couldn't fault the staff who were all very courteous and extremely helpful - none more so than the concierge. My only criticism, and it's a small one (appropriately enough!), was to do with the size of the room. For some, the hotel's location might be a negative, although we actually enjoyed being in a real neighbourhood with shops and cafes frequented by local people.
“Great Boutique Hotel in Singapore”
Great Hotel, Good Pricing, Convenient Location, Helpful staff - what more can you ask for.
“Bussines in Singapur”
This hotel is a boutique hotel. Open just in October 2009 All the satff are very friendly an is very well located for visit the city. Exelente hotel
“I will come again!”
Good hotel, close to bus stops and with lot of taxes passing by. Good drinks and food. It is easy to walk around and easy to find variety of meals around. It is boutique type of hotel. I will come back and explore more of that area. The room is clean but somewhat small. However it got all kind of amenities in it. For alone traveler it is perfect. Otherwise you might prefer to chose biger room if available. Service was very good and friendly.
“Totally satisfied”
The location was easy to reach from the MRT. Check-in was smooth and we were allowed to access the room well before 2 pm. After a long flight it was brilliant to shower and put up our feet before going out to explore Singapore. Walking was easy with many inexpensive food outlets to tempt us. It was a delightful walk into the river area. The evening swim in the hotel's pool rounded off a splendid day. We took advantage of the cafe's breakfasts before starting each day. The manager, James, was most helpful in suggesting places to visit and where we might find a couple of items we wanted to purchase. Our room was comfortable and we particularly liked being able to open the window and turn off the air conditioning at night times.
“Great hotel just outside of the city center with access via public transit”
The hotel is charming and well maintained with a professional and courteous staff. The rooms are rather small so be sure to upgrade if you need space. The location is good since it is close to China town but perhaps some what out of the way for those the want to be in the city center and intend to shop.
“Nice hotel and at a good price.”
Small hotel off the beaten track. Price was right for me and I was able to walk to the MRT and catch cabs when needed. Spa nearby offers a great massage deal for $88 (90 minutes). I only had one meal at the hotel (eggs benedict) and it was great. No complimentary breakfast. Hotel staff was very accomodating and made the hotel an inviting place to stay.
“Singapore sightseeing”
Only used the hotel as a base to sleep while visiting for sightseeing as it is close to where our daughter lives in Singapore. The rooms are small but very clean and reasonably well equiped. Staff are always happy to help and very friendly.
