This hotel provides a tranquil garden setting in the midst of the city, three blocks from Orchard Road shopping and entertainment. Suntec City and the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre are 3 km (1.75 mi) away.

Rooms
This hotel offers 750 extra-spacious guestrooms in three wings. All feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gardens, greenery, outdoor pool, tropical atrium, or city. Decor in the Tower Wing is contemporary, with Asian touches. Garden Wing guestrooms feature tropical motifs and bougainvillea-laden balconies. Marble-clad bathrooms offer separate tubs and showers, telephones, makeup mirrors, scales, terry bathrobes, and slippers. Rooms also include complimentary wired and wireless Internet access, movie channels, safes, and three telephones with voice mail. Welcome amenities include Chinese tea, cake, and fruit.

Dining
Nadaman - Japanese cuisine. Three tatami rooms, two teppanyaki counters, Western-style private dining room. Contemporary, marble-dominated decor with natural woods, rich earth tones, and a small stream. Electromagnetic cooking surfaces allow food to be cooked at tables without generating heat. Lunch and dinner.
BLU - This stylish restaurant features French-inspired cuisine and panoramic city views from 24 stories up. Two large glass murals flank the entrance, local art is displayed on the walls, and Philippe Starck lamps top each table. The high, barrel-shaped ceiling incorporates vivid lighting effects, and fiber optics are inlaid in the bar and floor. Two hundred wines are available, including vintages by the glass. Dinner only.
Rose Veranda - Afternoon tea, with 100 varieties served on Wedgwood china, accompanied by live classical piano music. Light British and Asian fare. Views of lobby, gardens, waterfalls, and koi ponds. Traditional-style room with plush armchairs and deep sofas. Open noon until late afternoon.
Shang Palace - After months of extensive renovation, Shang Palace re-opened on November 7, 2007. This restaurant offers an innovative interpretation of Cantonese cuisine, provincial specialties, and Chinese tea culture. The contemporary Chinese décor features floral motifs on the red glass ceiling, with walls hand-painted by Chinese artisans. The lush greenery serves as a backdrop for the restaurant's “Dining in a Chinese Garden” theme.
The LINE - Overlooking the hotel's tropical gardens, with some tables for alfresco dining by the pool. Local and other Asian specialties; international fare. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets. Open early morning until late evening.
Lobby Court - Grand marble columns and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking gardens. Beverages and light fare, including vegetarian selections, served early morning until late evening.

The hotel's 15 acres of tropical gardens encompass a 36.5-meter (120-ft) freeform pool with connected children's pool, a spa tub, four tennis courts, and a three-hole pitch-and-putt golf course. A well-equipped fitness center overlooking the pool and koi ponds offers cardio and weight machines, a steam room and sauna, and spa treatments such as post-flight therapy, herbal baths, and body wraps. The Singapore Botanic Gardens, one block away, is a lovely venue for jogging or leisurely strolls.

Ocean Tranquil Wrap (60 minutes): SG$150 (US$99)
This treatment uses ocean mud with essential oils for a purifying and relaxing effect as well as to promote circulation. It is combined with a “Hydro Marine Scrub” made of sea salt and algae extracts for greater effectiveness. Fee does not include tax and is subject to change without notice.
Chamomile Scrub (45 minutes): SG$116 (US$76)

Antioxidant Facial (60 minutes): SG$158 (US$104)
This facial gently refines and smoothes the texture of the skin, diminishing fine lines and improving skin colour. It also helps to prevent premature aging of the skin caused by UV exposure. “Top hotel in an excellent location”
We stayed on "Horizon Club" level and it was sensational. Well worth the extra cost. Outstanding buffet breakfast, and sensational cocktails and light food each evening. Room spacious and really nice. Pool excellent.
“Will stay there again!”
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and services was excellent. Works were being carried out around the pool and Garden wing... Pool is otherwise very inviting and nice, and I think it will be brilliant when completed!

WE STAYED AS A FAMILY OF SIX ADULTS AND TWO TEENAGERS.IT WAS ABSOLUTELY IDEALFROM ALL POINTS OF VIEW, WITH VERY FRIENDY STAFF AT ALL LEVELS FROM START TO FINISH. WE WOULD UNHESITATINGLY RECOMMEND IT TO ALL OUR FRIENDS.
“Would go back tomorrow if I could”
Great hotel with attentive staff and first class facilities. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. It is so easy to get about by cheap taxis that the location presents no problem and the pool and grounds are fabulous. Facilitates a great holiday with pleny of sightseeing to do but coupled with the opportunity to just relax by the pool
“Singapore (Shangri La) trip during January 2010”
Hotel is 10 minutes (or less) walking distance from the famous Orchard Road. Taxis are available around the clock & the hotel is conveniently located so as not to be noisy. I reserved a Premier Club room (75 square meters) which was VERY spacious, excellently decorated with a SPACIOUS bathroom. Drinking water was provided twice a day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone enjoying a good walk to Orchard Road, however beware that Singapore is EXTREMELY humid & hot. Walking outside sapped my energy.
“Fantastic Service”
The room, location, breakfast, pool and in particular the service were all first class. The restaurant and drinks by the pool were expensive, even for a resort, but you are close enough to Orchard Rd to avoid having to eat in at the hotel.
“A most civilised place to stay”
From the moment you arrive you are treated like a true guest. All the staff are so incredibly polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Visit The Line restaurant for the excellent buffet and wonderful staff. Pool and spa facilities are first class.
“Most enjoyable”
Extremely friendly staff, great selection for breakfast, very comfortable room on Horizon Club floor. Food options in Horizon Club lounge slightly disappointing. Overall a pleasant stay.
“Will stay there again and again”
Fantastic hotel service. I was very impressed with the Reservation Manager's service and allow us to make changes to our hotel stay at the last minute due to some passport issues. When we could stay another night again, he also gave us a discounted hotel rate. Overall, impressed!!! Room always tidy and clean. Mind you, staying at the Premier Harbour Club room helps I guess with service!
