“Excellent for family stay”

Having been to Singapore on business before, I wanted to take my family there for a holdiay, but initially had difficulty finding a hotel that would take 2 adults and 3 children. Thankfully the Somerset Liang Court offered such a room. There is very little to fault with our experience there: friendly staff, top-class rooms, breakfast provided, swimming pool, close to Clarke Quay and the MRT, food courts nearby. We had a very pleasant 8 days there, and would love to go back again some time as a family.

“Family Friendly”

I thought the Somerset Liang Court was a great hotel, especially fantastic for families. Since it is an apartment rather than a normal hotel room, you get separate bedrooms so the kids can go to bed earlier, you get a loungeroom, as well as a dining area and a pretty good kitchen, with a large fridge. With a supermarket in the basement of the shopping mall next door, we could get some drinks, milk, etc and have them handy in our room. We also ended up buying some bread, cheese, vegies, etc to make sandwiches one day, and could keep the leftovers for another day. The hotel itself is very clean, if a little dated on the outside, but the rooms themselves have been completely refurbished and are lovely. It's in a great area, 100's of restaurants, close to the MRT and having Fort Canning Park just across the road was really good to let the kids run around. The room rate includes the buffet breakfast, which was small in choice, but enough. 2-3 types of cereal, bread and condiments for toast, yoghurt, 2 types of fruit, 2-3 types of other pastries, plus at least 2 hot items, 1 of which was always eggs (mostly scrambled), and the other was baked beans, hash browns, pancakes, or similar. There were also 1 or 2 asian choices each day, as well as coffee, tea, juice, etc. I would certainly recommend this hotel and I would definitely look out for other Somerset properties the next time we travel.

“Great location, Great rooms”

Having arrived at 7.00am with my wife and three boys we were hoping for an early check in but were aware this was unlikey. Offered breakfast and must say we were a little dissapointed with the buffet on offer. Anyway having left our luggage at the hotel we were told before we left the hotel for our walk to the Singapore flyer that our rooms would be available at 11.00am which was great news for us having flown in from Athens on an all night flight. Having returned back to the hotel we were heading to our rooms not quite sure what to expect after feeling a little dissapointed with breakfast. Anyway we entered the rooms and were very pleasantly surprised. Two bedrooms the main was quite spacious 2 large bathrooms 3 balconies and a very modern and well appointed kitchen with washingmachine/dryer included. All were extremely neat and clean. Thumbs up by all. We also discovered that the location was great. Next to the river with a plentiful supply of restaraunts and bars and a short stroll (10mins) to Orchard rd. MRT stations are all close by as well. The hotel looks a little outdated from the outside but where it counts it was great. Would definetely recommend it to families. The kids also enjoyed the large pool.

“Very impressed with everything”

Family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Quality of the apartment was excellent, the pool was very nice, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic location right next to Clarke Quay. Nice buffet breakfast. Didn't have time to use the gym, but it looked quite good. Lots of space for the same price as a hotel room.

“Great place to stay”

Excellent place to stay for our family. The 2 bedroom apartment had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable. A large pool. The on-site breakfast was good. Many good restaurants and stores nearby, even a grocery store and 7-11 in the building. Conveniently located near the taxi stand and a short walk to the MRT. Much better than a hotel room!

“A familiy friendly hotel located in the heart of Singapore”

We stayed here for 10 days. We were on family vacation with my parents and my kids. We are strictly Indian Vegetarian. This place is a good up-scale serviced apartment. Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, a well-equipped kitchen. Good club-house and amenities (free to use gym, pool, steam, sauna, jacuzzi, whirlpool, etc...). About 5 minutes walk from Clake Quay MRT, and Liang Court Shopping center is next door - with a 24 Hr McDonalds. They serve complimentary buffet breakfast. The spread is quite limited - especially for vegetarians. The front desk staff and bell captain are extremely courteous, and they will usually go out of their way to help you. Excellent family stay with value for money !!!

Everyone was happy and friendly. The location is fantastic. The apartment was a great size for us with 2 teenage daughters. Nightlife was fun and within a few minutes walk from the hotel as was the MRT and great restaurants.
