“Will go back with no compunction!”
I was greeted by the owner of the Hotel, the reservation was in order, the room available and just what I asked for. Everyone was polite and welcoming and the facility could not have been better located. Close to the trains and The Pompidou Center is an understatement. It is not a five star hotel nor would I stay in one so I guess that the Hotel and myself were quite happy with each other. There was absolutely nothing that I could complain about. I plan to return on my next Paris trip and I think that says it all. Above all quiet, clean and a no smoking room!!
“Beautiful hotel”
We were very impressed with this hotel, everything was perfect, the room we had a balcony and was very clean. The location was perfect as well. However, they should not allow smoking in the breakfast area. One table of 4 people kept smoking and it was smelled awful!! Hotel wanted 45 levs to take us to airport but we just took regular taxi and it only cost 15 levs BUT be careful we got totally ripped off coming to hotel from airport as another taxi charged us 75 levs. Anyway I am really happy we booked with this hotel as it was very nice!!! Be careful about pickpocketers when walking around - they are very fast
“Maria Luisa, A home away from home”
This hotel was splendid, it retained the stately old-fashioned Europe style and yet modernize enough to have all the comforts I needed. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and wonderful. All tourist information was provided at the desk and they were not trying to rip me off as in many other hotels in other countries. The reception, restaurant, coffee shop, concierge, luggage staff were all extremely nice. The housekeeping was indescribably wonderful with their service. They went beyond the call of duty and making my stay memorable. The managerial staff held a distance and never acknowledged my presence. The room was beautifully furnished. The bath had a leak it was reported but wasn't fixed. The location was perfect to walk everywhere and restaurants were very near. I absolutely loved the staff, the stay, the location and would definitely be staying here the next time I head to Sophia. It was one of a kind stay, I felt like I was at my home and not at a hotel.
“Five Star Service”
Maria Luisa is a really splendid hotel offering exceptional value for money. My tip to make a perfect stay: pay just a little bit extra for a deluxe room which is actually a comfortable suite. Breakfast buffet is included and offers a first-rate choce. The hotel is ideally located both to cultural centres and the main commercial areas. What makes a stay there so enjoyable is the friendly and helpful staff. I cannot rate the Maria Luisa too highly - I shall certainly stay there again.
“Not impressed”
Location of the hotel is perfect: right at the heart of the city. The room, single standart, was so small; and when I open the window, I faced with an old building straight ahead; and there was no sunlight. It was so difficult even to see the sky from the window. But people were so kind with me. It is a nice hotel to stay if you want to be close to the city centre.
“Unreasonably expensive”
The Maria Luisa is in an excellent location in the centre of town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. My room (No. 105), however, looked onto an interior 'well' so it had no natural light and there was an unpleasant smell if you opened the window. It was also rather cramped. Breakfast was very so-so. I had expected more from the price they charged.
