“Cozy and affordable”
I really enjoyed staying here... it was clean and it was a way nicer room for the same price I had paid for a lot less at another hotels. It was kind of packed though.
“Enjoyed fishing off the pier!”
We really enjoyed the stay. We only have one suggestion. Breakfast needs to be served from 6:00am to 9:00 am. 8:00 am is too late for those who need to leave early!
“Enjoyed, can't wait to go back”
We were really impressed with this hotel. We were kind of nervous about what we were going to see for ourselves after reading some of the reviews, but it wasn't bad like some have made it to be. The only thing I would say is that not all rooms have the balconys and face directly to the bay. I think the rooms are perfect and cozy for what u pay here and for the age that it is. Some towels didn't look so white, but all you had to do was ask for other ones and they were given to you. Staff was really friendly, overall it was a great experience and we would definitly go back.
“Upgrade to King for best value”
The original room was the 2 Queen Bed, not impressive. Worth the extra $ for the King, water side room, very nice. Don't count on the breakfast, walk a block north to Teds, which was excellent. Stayed here 2 years ago and it has greatly improved since then. Good value for the $$, don't spend much time in the hotel when at the island...
“Great for the price”
Comfortable, convenient. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Excellent price especially for the 4th of July. Would stay there again.
“would rent again”
The location was excellent, close to the beach and stores, (within walking distance). Resturants were close by also .
“Great First SP Experience!”
This was our first trip to South Padre, and we loved it! We had a ground floor room with easy access and loved the short walk to the beach! We felt safe and enjoyed the other guests at WW. Was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave in the room to save on eating out. My only complaint is that it would have been nice to have a broom in our room to battle with the beach sand on the ceramic floor.
“Not horrible at all.”
It was a nice experience. I didn't have any trouble checking in. The pool was a little small but the hot tub was nice. The "bay view" is a channel that LEADS INTO the bay, and across from it are some beach houses, which weren't a bad view at all, but it was a little deceiving to say it's on the bay. The cleanliness wasn't horrible for how old you can tell the hotel is. It's right off of South Padre boulevard so getting in and out is a breeze. The room size was very nice, I was just confused as to why the bedroom portion was the front room and the sitting area was the back room (especially considering the closet was attached to the back room). But it was nice. No odd smells or anything of the sort and the balcony was a nice place to sit at night.
“Good, pretty & cheap. Polite receptionist & at your service.”
Ok
“family trip on spring break last week of march”
Great deal in the island @ walk in distance from the beach. Great view in the balcony( not beach, but part of the bay). Biggggggg room. King suite. Not a 5 star but a great option. Veey affordable. I would stay there again. By the way great season for families. March. Third week. :)
