“Excellent service”

Located in the centre of Freiberg the hotel is well placed for those wanting to see more of the city and also for those who want to travel the surrounding area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the receptionists, and the breakfast provided was varied and very filling! The train and bus stations are ten minutes away making getting around the area very easy. The staff at the train station are especially helpful - most of them are multi-lingual and freely give advise on the cheapest, easiest and best ways to get about. We made good use of the Baden-Wurtzenberg ticket - 30 euros for up to five people travelling anywhere in the area for the entire day (this gets you to Basel and almost all the way to Strasbourg as well). Shopping within the city is good and there are plenty of restaurants (menus available in a number of languages practically everywhere) to choose from. Some of the museums may leave a bit to be desired however there are some good ones and are cheap enough to suffice for a rainy day. The whole area is extremely picturesque and there are plenty of sites to visit without spending to much time travelling.

This hotel has a very good location.The supermarket is just across the street,inside the mall.The train station is just 10 minutes walk away fr. the hotel. The room we stayed was clean. Breakfast every morning was very good.Nancy and Daniel were always ready to serve you coffee,tea, or chocolate.On the front desk, Telsie and Desiree were very helpful, and cheerful all the time.

“Central Hotel - the perfect destination”

Central Hotel is perfect. The room was immaculate - delightful crisp white bedlinen, gleaming shower in the ensuite, tea and coffee facilities in the room and flatscreen TV. The location is incredibly quiet and only a 3 minute walk from the main square. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was a banquet of brilliant proportion. Need I say more ...?

“Pleasant, friendly, and a good location”

I stayed here for four nights, and I can definitely recommend it. The hotel is in a very convenient location, being in the heart of the old town and close to the train station. It is slightly hidden as it is on a side-street, just off of a major shopping street. The hotel in general looks very pleasant, being well-maintained and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they spoke excellent English. Due to my schedule, I didn't try the breakfast, so I can't comment upon it. My room was comfortable and clean. It contained a TV, a kettle with a range of drinks (tea, coffee, cappuccino, hot chocolate...), mini-bar, a small table with two chairs, an alarm clock, and a telephone. The bathroom was spotless and the shower worked well. Despite the hotel's central location, there was no problem with noise, either from outside or from other rooms. I suppose the only thing missing was a nice view from the window (instead of just looking out at the adjacent buildings).

“Very polite”

I can't say enough nice things about the staff at Central Hotel. They were all extremely polite and friendly. The hotel itself is easy enough to locate and clean. Although my bed was extremely squeaky the rest of the room was fine. I recommend this hotel for travellers on business or leisure trips!

A great little hotel. The prettiest breakfast room ever, with a substantial, high quality breakfast. Very close to the Munster, in the heart of the old city.

“Great city, great weekend break, great hotel”

Central Hotel was great. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great. The hotel is 1 minute walk to the main street and only about 10 minute walk from the main railway station where the bus from Basel deposits you. I would recommend staying here. The bus from Basel airport to Freiburg leaves regularly from right outside the terminal building. Its a 40 minute journey and costs 20 euro oneway or 35 euro return. Freiburg is a stunning little city and in the central square near the catherdral there is a great food, flower market each saturday until around midday. A great weekend break.

“Central Hotel”

Service was crisp, good, professional. Hotel not flashy, but clean, modern and uplifted. While not a light sleeper, I was 3rd floor and could hear the chatter from outside a bar where folks stepped outside to have their cigs...so that was a little hard but hardly the hotels fault. The location was very good. Price reasonable.
