“A good place to stay in Freiburg”
The City Hotel is in an excellent location, easy to get to from the railway station, and is comfortable and quiet. The service is good, the staff are friendly and helpful, and you can use wireless internet services in your room for no extra cost - just ask at reception for the password to log on. The only thing which slightly lets down the hotel is the breakfast, which was rather basic and unexciting (particularly after a full week there). But this is one of the cheaper options in Freiburg, and I would certainly go back.
“Nice hotel!”
The staff were helpful and friendly, and facilitated a room switch when we joined my husband who had been staying in a single room. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location is good- on the edge of the old city. The only negative was construction right across the street which made for noisy mornings. The breakfast was very good. I would stay there again!
“Great hotel!”
The hotel was clean and well lighted. The lobby, the rooms, and the breakfast area were just as the pictures indicated. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke good, clear English. The front desk sold cold, cheap beer and soda. The city was easy to get to by airport bus and city taxi/tram. The location was perfect-easy walk to sights, shopping, and cafes. I don't know when I'll be back in Freiburg, Germany (it was a very nice city), but if I were to visit again, I would certainly stay at this hotel.
“Very Impressed!!!”
This Hotel had a wonderful location, actually in the Old Town, parking garage under the hotel was very convenient and 8 EU a day is very reasonable! Staff was very friendly and helpful with things to see. Breakfast was excellent with hot and cold choices( unusual in most of Europe ).Freiburg is a great place BUT book ahead because rooms book up early!! We did have twin beds because that was all that was available when I booked so late. Enjoy!

Everyone at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great for me.
“Convenient to the city sights”
Hotel was very clean and the room comfortable, (this is not top of the line luxury, but it's very nice). Staff pleasant, English speaking. Good breakfast buffet included. I don't believe there is AC in this hotel, but I had meanwhile bought a fan anyway (called "ventilators" in German, and you can buy them for 18E at Saturn stores). This was a very hot July in Germany. There is garage parking, extra charge, at the hotel. I rented a car, so my strong advice is to go w/ a good GPS system and program your addresses in before you leave, and it will save hours of frustration trying to find your hotel - and other places as well.
“Nice, friendly hotel in centre of Freiburg”
City Hotel is located right in the centre of Freiburg, a very short walk from the munster. Despite that we could park in the hotel carpark for about 8 euros. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a really good size and the furniture seemed new/ well maintained. Breakfast was delicious with a very good selection. I'd definitely stay again.
