“Very nice”
The hotel was very nice. Very clean and the front desk attendants were very helpful. The location was great. Union station was just down the street and the Arch was only a short drive away. The price was good for the close proximity to downtown. We'd definitely stay here again when we decide to come back.
“Very Impressed!”
We were very impressed with the Pear Tree Inn. The staff was so friendly, the hotel was clean and the ammenities were great. The breakfast was very nice and our room was very comfortable. It is a great location, within walking distance to many restaurants and shops! We will be going back!
“More than expected”
I was pleasantly surprised with the pear tree. The room was a decent size, breakfast was great, and everything semed very clean. I would highly recomend this hotel over the over priced hotels!

Clean, comfortable, useful and nice perks (mainly free secure parking and breakfast). Great location and a great bargain. January 2nd, 2010- travelled from Chicago area to St. Louis for the Blackhawks game at the Scottrade Center. I chose the Pear Tree for it's location and based upon the reviews on Expedia. It seemed folks were happy with the service and the quality for the price. My group of four guys simply needed a decent place to sleep while in town for one night. When checking in I just gave them my name and everything was handled pretty much immediately. I checked in at 4:00 and the staff was very nice and helpful. The lobby was very nice and parking and unloading was easy. The free parking was great and the private shuttle from the hotel to the Scottrade Center was so worth the $2.00 per person. Not having to drive in an unfamiliar area and no need to pay for parking=easy. The rooms were perfectly useful and very clean. The bar/restaurant on the main level was good and not overpriced like most hotels and chains. The breakfast was good in the morning, a nice perk. For the price I paid I was impressed with the quality and the location and the amenities and with the staff. The proximity to attractions is great.
“Mini Vacation”
The service at the hotel was great, the front desk staff was very helpful. I love the fact that they had a parking garage (which was free) and each room had a code in order to get in. I also like the fact that they had happy hour and free breakfast. They also have a pool and hot tub/spa tub that is also clean. Rooms were also very clean! I plan on going back to St. Louis soon and I plan on staying there again.

“Friendliest staff ever make up for fire alarm”
The service from this staff was excellent. From the check-in to questions about food to the lady who cleaned our floor to those helping with the wine/appetizers and breakfast, I was impressed with how genuinely friendly and helpful they all were. My husband stayed here before and they had a fire alarm, and sure enough, we did as well. That was not fun at 5:30 am, but it was memorable. Other than that incident, great stay and great people!
“Great Place!”
I stayed there for one night, and it was great! Free drinks in the evening, free hot breakfast in the morning. The staff was very helpful.
“Good hotel at a good price”
This was a great hotel, especially for the price I paid. The best part is the location-right smack dab in downtown St. Louis and a short walk from Union Station and other attractions. Free parking in a locked deck was definitely a plus. Free happy hour every evening was a bonus. Would definitely stay there again.
“Enjoyed my time there”
I enjoyed my stay here, the hotel staff was extremely courtious and helpful. The room was nice and had a small refigerator for your use. Parking was available and was like a parking garage and secure. It had snowed and it was nice not having to brush off snow. They do serve hot breakfast and had staff there to help you out if you needed anything. I never stayed at a Pear Tree Inn before and I was rather impressed. I will definitely stay here again.
