“Awesome Hotel”
Great staff! Staff goes out of the way to help! A 20 min metrolink ride to downtown. Hotel is a nice corporate type area
“Love the European character”
This is a great little hotel. It is a great location. The outdoor space is lovely. However, it does need a restaurant on site. I'm sorry they closed it since the last time we stayed there.
“Very comfortable, pleasant hotel”
This is a lovely old hotel. Only drawback is no elevators but they will have someone help with luggage. The room was very spacious and comfortable and the bath was very nice and furnished with Aveda products. The area where the hotel is located has many shops and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely go back.
“Old School Elegance”
The building is unusually well maintained. It is an old facility that has been updated with care to keep the nostalgia intact but add modern bathrooms and the like. There are no elevators, and some of the stairs curve or turn. Not recommended if you move unsteadily. The staff is very friendly and willing offer directions & dining recommendations ( a lot of choices within a few blocks). Valet parking a must.
“charming hotel”
charming small hotel. staff was extremely attentive and polite. the "continental" breakfast included yogart, fruit, breads and breakfast sandwiches. the room was quiet and well kept. everything you could possibly need was within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and my husband and I look forward to staying there again.
“Pretty sweet, but not tech savvy”
Overall, a great hotel with lots of style and comfort. Their site promises wireless internet in the rooms, and I'm sure if you're one of the minions with a PC maybe you'll actually get what they promise. But if you have a Mac, stay somewhere else. You can't go online here and nobody can tell you how to possibly log on. Oh well. Just one more way the Mac owners of this world are treated like lesser humans.
“Great stay - wish it was longer”
We chose the Seven Gables after a disappointing stay ata a chain hotel in St. Louis the previous month. It looked 'different and had been given favorable reviews. We were not disappointed! While the location was not as convenient to our plans while in town, the service, staff, and the room more than made up for it. This is not just another cookie-cutter hotel, but almost more like a B&B in feel. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and the towels were the softest I have literally ever felt. How they accomplished that is still a mystery. Also, the adjacent Irish pub was pleasant and convenient and there were many other interesting restaurants nearby. The front desk recommended one for breakfast (we had slept too late for the continental breakfast) and we were not disappointed. Our only regret is having stayed only one night. We'll be back!

“Charming Inn”
Seven Gables Inn had a lot of character and was in a quiet location. Our room was clean and comfortable; the complimentary breakfasts were good. The only drawback for us was that it was a little farther from the city center than we woulod have liked. The Metrolink was several blocks away and we used it daily to get to various locations.
“The nicest surprise I've had in a long time”
The Seven Gables is in a very nice area of St. Louis. It appears to be the only hotel in the area. It is small enough to have a homey feel but large enough to have it's own restaurant - and the food is very good. I will definitely stay there on my next trip to St. Louis.
