The resort's open-air Mariners restaurant, located on the beach, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, with à la carte menus also available at lunch and dinner. The Oriental restaurant, open for dinner only, serves Asian fare from an à la carte menu. Monarch restaurant, an informal buffet-style restaurant, is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Shops and a beauty salon face two fountain courtyards. A vendors market offers local arts, crafts, and clothing. An Internet center contains two computers with high-speed access. Guests have complimentary access to the fitness center and supervised children's activities, as well as use of sun loungers, beach towels and umbrellas.

St. Lucian by Rex Resorts offers 220 guestrooms in two- and three-story buildings (no elevators) arrayed along Reduit Beach. Patios or balconies include two-chair dining sets and views of the pool, garden, or sea. Televisions offer U.S./international cable channels. In-room safes are available for a daily surcharge. Rooms have dial-up Internet access. Tropical decor includes rattan furniture and white-tile floors.

Located in a garden courtyard, a pool measuring 23 m by 7.5 m (75 ft by 25 ft) is paired with a raised 16-person spa tub. The hotel faces golden-sand Reduit Beach along the Caribbean Sea. Waters remain calm in most weather. Beach lounge chairs and umbrellas are provided. Guests may also use a butterfly-shaped pool with children's sections at the adjacent Papillon St. Lucia.
Guests with the All Inclusive plan may use snorkeling gear, kayaks, pedal boats, windsurfers, and sailboats without additional charge. Guests with the Room-Only (European) plan must rent the equipment. Scuba diving, scuba-diving instruction, snorkeling excursions, water skiing, banana-boating, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, tubing, and sailing lessons are available to all guests for surcharges. All-Inclusive plan guests receive a discount of US$4 (subject to change) for sailing lessons.
Use of two tennis courts is complimentary for all guests, but there is a surcharge for play under the lights. St. Lucia Golf & Country Club's 18-hole course is 5 km (3 mi) away.

“Extremely Impressed”
I had a wonderful 2nd anniversary stay at this hotel. Even though things weren't always good with the room at times they promptly changed my room, they were always pleasant, informative and just generally nice. The food was great and their customer service was excellent even when the lights went out in the restaurant, everyone used their cell phones to give light until we got the candles. It was excellent. I recommend to anyone!

The hotel is a 3 stars and you get what you pay for. The teens had a great time. It is a safe place for them. The sports are great, the size of the hotel is perfect, no elevator and a community feeling. The expedia representative was EXTRA!!!!!
“St. Lucian Rex is an ideal getaway spot”
I stayed at the St. Lucian Rex during the last week-end in September. It was a wonderful stay and I am planning another trip in the future. The location is convenient to local shops, restaurants, and transport. The beach is magnificent and the hotel is situated right on the Reduit beach. The staff are very helpful and the oceanview room is very spacious and is kept clean by daily maid service. This is an excellent place for a week-end getaway, family holiday or whatever the ocassion may be. I can certainly recommend the St. Lucian Rex as an ideal vacation spot and the price is right, especially if you are on a budget.
