“Perfect beach vacation”
There is no need to leave the complex. There are 8 excellent restaraunts and its own little village in walking distance of the hotel. Beautiful beach, free lounge chairs and umbrellas. It was very hard to find, the signs on the island in general are not good but once you do find it you wont want to leave.
“Fantastic Hotel”
This was a wonderful experience. We loved the location of the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was always clean, the atmosphere and location to the beach was exceptional. We will return to this hotel only!
“Peaceful and practically right on the beach.”
The hotel could use a bit of paint but was very clean. Our hostess were very gracious and our stay was wonderful. Perfect for that quiet get away. Location is perfect... 3 minute walk to easily one of the best beaches in the caribbean, 6 minutes to the mini mall to pick up freshly baked croissants and baguettes , cheese, fruit, french roasted coffee, orange juice and champagne for breakfast and 8 minutes to 6 fantastic restaurants. What more do you need? Absolutely loved our vacation at the Caraibes Hotel at Orient Beach!
“well deserved reviews”
this little gem is the best hotel we have stayed at in either the french or dutch side of st. martin.better service and friendlier staff than any 5 star hotel.
“Just right for me.”
I wanted a place that was clean, convenient, and safe, and this place got high grades in these areas. The room was simple but roomy, and the daily maid service was good. It was about 50 yards from the beach with no roads or obstacles in the way. I'd read about some travelers having troubles with thefts at their hotels, but Cap Caribe was very secure : safe in room, sturdy door, double lock on patio sliding door, and a security guard walking the property at night. I knew that it wasn't a big resort with an elaborate restaurant or bar, but I was pleasantly surprised to find pretty good restaurants and stores a five minute walk away. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
“Very Beachy”
It was great to leave the sliding glass door open at night and hear the Ocean. Convienient to be able to charge beach restaurants to the room. Staff is helpful and friendly and made any arrangements we asked.
“Planning to go back next year.”
We loved our stay at the Cap Caribies. We had easy access to the beach and chairs and umbrellas. On cruise ship days the chairs were a little more full, but otherwise it was great. We would choose a 2nd floor room next time so that we would feel comfortable leaving the curtains open. The restaurants within walking distance of the hotel were wonderful. We are beach people and didn't rent a car, but never felt the need for one. The restaurants on the beach and in the little village all take dollars or Euros. There is no ATM within walking distance, so make sure you have enough cash with you.
“Very impresssed once again - It was my second stay!”
I recommend this hotel. I will definitely return.
“Caraibes beach Hotel, Orient Bay, St Martin”
This hotel is fantastic. Nothing fancy, but it was comfortable, spacious, crazy-close to the beach and the little piazza of Orietan Bay. They are not trying to get every last cent out of you - wifi password is free! Adapters for euro power outlets are lent for free, coffee for free. You don't need to go into town for anything, but if you wanted to you would need a car or motorcycle.
“Outstanding small hotel on the beach!”
My wife and I just spent 5 days at Cap Caraibes. It was exactly what we were looking for - small, unpretentious, clean, large rooms, friendly staff. The beach is a 2 minute walk. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are free to guests, and beach towels are provided. There is a beach bar and restaurant right at the beach. The village is a 5 minute walk with restaurants and a market, where you can get fresh croissants, baguettes, wine, cheese, etc. The restaurants in the village were hit or miss. Our favorite was Le Piment Pizzeria! The pizzas and salads were exceptional, the prices reasonable, and the waitress very friendly! We rented a car, but rarely used it. We had stopped in Marigot at the Match Supermarket, where we picked up some drinks and snacks. Our room came with a small kitchen, including refrigerator, so we were able to save alot of money doing this. WARNING: drinks at the beach bar are VERY expensive! ($10 for a Bloody Mary!) We opted for a room on the ground floor to save a bit of money, so we had a view of the pool, but not the beach. The upper floor rooms have views of the beach, but cost more. To be sure, the Cap Caraibes isn't for everyone. There is no room service - it's not a luxury resort. You won't be pampered - you'll be comfortable. Nightlife is pretty much non-existant in the village, but Grand Case is close by. True, the TV is in French except for 2 channels. But, come on, it is a French island! And who wants to watch TV when you're in paradise!
