“Great for short getaway!”

I went with my two children for a couple day get away on an Expedia package. It was a short drive from Tampa Inter' Airport and was in a great location for food, groceries, and beach bars. The resort was clean and nicely maintained...pool and hot tub well maintained and clean. The beach is very wide and is right in front of the hotel. Hands down the nicest/reasonably priced place on Treasure Island (which has seen better days )

“very nice hotel”

the thunderbird was very conveniently located, right on the beach and in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is older, but was very clean and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Pool and hot tub also very clean. We would definitely recommend this place and would also go back

“Excellent hotel, go there....”

Fantastic location (ON the beach), clean and friendly, lively (Tiki beach bar and music during the day), close to restaurants (walk not drive) and shops, and reasonably priced.

“we would definitely stay there again”

We stayed in a second floor gulf view room (highly recommended), and it was beautiful watching the sun set fron our private balcony! We have recommended the Thunderbird Beach Resort to friends.

“Positive unexpected surprise”

We knew the hotel was a 3 star hotel, but were very positively surprised by the cleanliness of the room and grounds and how pleasant all the staff was. I would reccomend this to anyone wanting to have a good family location to stay

“Great hotel”

The staff in this hotel was extremely friendly. They went way out of their way to answer questions. The cleaning service for the room was just awesome. She was friendly and offered us what we needed. The room was extremely clean. Front desk held our food for us when we arrive five hours early. They also worked with the clean service to get us in the room a few hours earlier.

The hotel and staff were fine. The problem we had was the overall tatmosphere of the area. This is more of a low budget area than what we expected.

“Wonderful beach vacation spot!”

My husband and I stayed a few days at the Thunderbird after taking a cruise out of Tampa. Decided to add a few extra beach days on to the end of our trip and really enjoyed our stay. Super location, amazing view, friendly and helpful staff. We had a great time! The hotel is older but in pretty good condition. The room was spacious with a fridge and microwave. Nice size pool with lots of lounge chairs! Spectacular view from the balcony of our gulf side room. We got to Treasure Island early and were allowed to check in as soon as the room was cleaned. Our A.C. was out and they replaced it with a brand new one within an hour of our check in. The staff was very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay again. We have vacationed in Treasure Island several times, I keep coming back for the spectacular sunsets! This was our first stay at the Thunderbird and we were very satisfied with the hotel!
