“outstanding hotel really close to St Issac's”
This hotel is near several must see places in St Petersburg. Staff at the hotel were courteous at all times and really helpful. We ate in the hotel one evening. The food was delicious but a bit expensive. Breakfast was amazing with a wide choice for all tastes. I would be happy to go back again.
“Very accommodating”
We had gone through considerable trouble, as tourists traveling on our own without much understanding of Russia, to arrange a short vacation in St Petersburg. Not many locals understand English, and reading the signs is difficult. But all of the staff at the hotel were exceptionally nice and able to handle our questions, and spoke English well. Service was prompt (we had a minor telephone problem in the room). The kitchen made special dietary arrangements upon request when my wife developed a sinus inflammation. Everything was so nice.
“Great St Pete Hotel, nice location”
We stayed there for 3 nights, booked with the 3rd night free, which made it a great value. The staff was helpful and polite (not very typical for Russia). I asked for the windows looking outside (it turned out that all Deluxe rooms had windows inside the atrium) and they upgraded us free which was very nice of them, of course. The disadvantages: overpriced everything but the rooms: breakfasts, Internet price brought us back 20 years. But as a previous reviwer mentioned: there are literally dozens of cozy cafes in 10 minutes walk radius. So briefly: enjoy the hotel but don't buy there anything extra.
“Will go back”
We really enjoyed the hotel. Staff was very helpful and professional. It was very comfortable.
“Will Return”
Everything anout this hotel was top quality. The staff were wonderful. The room outstanding. Breakfast was great, with lots of choice. Location ideal. We stayed here for 3 days with our 2 year old. He had a very comfortable cot and the hotel gave him a cuddley toy ( a baltic rat!) Internet was available which was very handy to keep in touch with family and business in the UK. Cash despenser as also available which made withdrawing cash very safe. The only downsiide was the cost of drinks and food at the bar. They were similar to other hotels of this quality but somethng to be watched. However, 24 hour convenience stores are very close by. In all, a wonderful experience and highly recommended.
“Long weekend in St.Pete”
Just back from St.Petersburg, a place I know well having studied there in the mid-90's. We stayed at the Renaissance Saint Petersburg Hotel (part of the Mariott chain). Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the hotel was very helpful. They arranged an early check-in for us which was very important as we arrived early in the morning (around 8am) and we didn't want to be hanging around in the lobby with our bags for several hours. Location is good too, just next to St.Isaac's cathedral and about 10 mins walk from Palace Square and Nevsky Prospect.
“Very Impressed”
The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble from the Receptionists to the Concierge and restaurant team. The room was a lovely size and was well serviced. I would certainly recommend it!
“Very nice hotel”
This is a very nice hotel in a nice area of St. Petersburg. The service was good and the rooms were comfortable. Just be prepared to pay a lot if you choose to dine in the hotel.
“Great!”
Great location! Close to absolutely everything you may want to do in st.Petersburg. I am a native, but live in USA, and trust me when I tell you, you can't get a better location for the money. My only 2 complaints: the bathtub was extremely high and hard to get into ( and both me and my husband are under 40), and all the windows in the hotel face the inside of the hotel, no natural light in the rooms, making it extra hard on a jet lagged traveler (me). Service is exceptional!!! Better than at any US hotels we've ever stayed at!
“Best Choice and Excellent location!!!”
Excellent Hotel with all the American Comfort you expected from the Renaissance. The hotel is next to the St. Isaacs Cathedral and Square. All the tourist attractions and places you want to visit are walking distance. The hotel looks and feels very new. The rooms are well decorated and feel very comfortable. The staff is helpfull and attentive. I think this is one of the best choice and value for your money considering the quality of the hotel and the location, so it´s worth to pay it if you can afford it.
