As the flagship in the Bengtsson Family’s private chain of hotels in Stockholm’s Old Town, this hotel is named after
the English Naval hero Lord Nelson’s flagship, the HMS Victory. The Victory is filled to the rim with fascinating antiques – a part of the vast collection that the owner family have gathered over the years.
The Victory Hotel harbors two jewels that attract both the people of Stockholm and visitors who aren’t staying at the hotel; Djuret (The Whole Beast) and Pubologi.
The Victory Hotel is also the historical site of Sweden’s largest discovery of silver treasure, Loheskatten, which was found by five workers on a day in October, 1937.
The inviting sauna and relaxation area are open daily and can be booked for two hours' private use.
Rooms
Although the hotel has borrowed its name from an English ship, all our hotel rooms are named after Swedish naval captains. In each room guests will find photographs and curiosa about the captain the room is named after as well as a model of his ship. The rooms have comfortable and homely furnishings and are tastefully decorated with selected items from the owner family's extensive collection of antiques.
All rooms are equipped with underfloor heating in the bathroom that also features a shower, hairdryer and cosy bathrobes with matching slippers. The room also has a trouser press, a safe, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a B&O stereo and a wireless internet connection.

Dining
Djuret means the animal in Swedish and here they serve one animal at the time. The whole menu consists of different meat paragraphs from the same animal, prepared with a lot of love on the grill, pan or in a pot and then served in a rustic way.
What is Pubologi?
Pubologi is not a dining room. Pubologi is not a bar. Pubologi is not a traditional pub.
Pubologi is like a hybrid of all three.

“Its the little extra's that count”
This hotel was really good. The service was top notch but it was the little extras that made it. On arrival there are some chocolates on the pillow and some large chocolate money and most useful after a day of travel is a lovely little carafe of port to help you sleep! The staff were extreemly helpful and helped us with restaurant and tour reservations and advice.
“Winter in Stockholm”
We just spent five fabulous days at the Victoru inStockholm. The hotel was lovely, cosy, warm, with a gorgoeus room. Very swedish touches and comfortable rather than a bland chain hotel. Comforatble and with a great breakfast. Stockholm was fantastic one of the most beautiful cities I have visited and though cold (minus11C!) it looked stunning in snow. Must sees are the Vasa Museum, Historic Museum, Prins Eugens Warsumuddee Art Gallery , Nordic Gallery and the Modern Art Gallery. Wirstroms Pub near the hotel was great with live music and Siam was lovely! . Get a Stockholm card to maximise the number of museums etc you can see it includes transport and is very good value if you plan your itninerary well.
“quality hotel in perfect old town location”
Very impressed with this hotel. The English speaking staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The self service breakfast buffet was of very good quality. Could not be in better location in the old town Bryan, Edinburgh
“Charming”
The location simply couldn't be better - a quiet street in the heart of the Old Town. The rather eccentric antique nautical theme of the hotel was amusing but tasteful; the staff v helpful and courteous. As a single female traveller, I felt well catered for & utterly safe. My only reservation - & a very small one - was breakfast. Served in a dark, basement room, it was more fun -& better value - to opt for one of the myriad of local cafes. I will definitely return.

We had a wonderful long weekend staying at this maritime themed hotel. It's in a great location in the Old Town. Breakfast was delicious and bar/bistro served high quality meals. Would definitely recommend this great place to stay.
“Fantastic hotel and location”
This was our first visit to Stockholm, and we spent many hours researching hotels. The Victory was perfect in every way. From friendly and helpful staff, perfect location in the heart of Gamla Stan, to the very large and well equipped rooms, I would definately recommend this hotel. We have traveled to other countries in Europe, and rarely do we find this kind of hotel experience.
“Perfect location & perfect staff”
We stayed in the Victory Hotel for one night in February 2008. I debated over which hotel to stop in and picked the Victory because of the location. It's in the old town in a quiet street which is near to all the shops & restuarants. It was a good base to explore all of Stockholm. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the room was warm, clean and very comfortable. I've already recommended this hotel to family & friends.
