“Great hotel but disappointing attitude from manager on duty”

A super hotel, well placed and immaculately clean. However, those of a more sensitive disposition should know that it is also situated within a stone's throw of the red light district! We had no idea until we wandered back to the hotel on a SUNDAY morning to see working ladies blatantly plying their trade out of windows, literally a few doors away, to lots of desperate looking men who were hanging around suspiciously. Probably not want you want to see if you are a lone lady traveller or if you have family in tow. Breakfast was good. Room service breakfast, we were told on arrival, would be 15 Euros. So we were delighted when we read in the room that an alternative restaurant breakfast would be 12 Euros. We were however still charged 15 Euros, with the duty manager refusing to honour the advertised price (which she admitted was out of date) because it is also advertised on the internet at 15 Euros!!! We could not believe her rudeness and inflexibility, and it left a very bitter taste. She just could not understand that an advertised price should be honoured.

“Good standard for the cost”

The hotel is clean and bright with a lovely bar area. The rooms are of a good standard and comfortable. With Ibis you generally know what to expect and this hotel did not disappoint. There is a tram stop close by which takes you to the centre in a matter of minutes.
