Other shuttle-accessible Summit County resorts are Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain. A-Basin, as it's known locally, stands tall at 13,050 feet. Its 69 trails are reached by six lifts; the terrain park, Mutha' Hucker, is one of the highest in North America. A-Basin's season extends from October through June, depending on weather and snow. Copper Mountain's 125 trails are accessible by 22 lifts. It also has terrain parks for adults and children, and jib parks, including Night Rider, open evenings on Fridays.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.
The cliff-top lodge faces Breckenridge, which has a summit elevation of 12,408, and which gets an average of 300 inches of snow annually. Its four interconnected mountains—Peaks 7, 8, 9, and 10, each with its own personality—encompass 2,207 acres, including four terrain parks, four half-pipes, and 772 acres of bowls. The resort's 146 trails are 52 percent expert/advanced, 33 percent intermediate, and 15 percent beginner, and are accessible by 27 lifts.
Keystone Resort is seven miles from Breckenridge and linked by a complimentary shuttle service and interchangeable lift tickets. “MLK long weekend stay”
I chose this hotel for a long weekend with my new girlfriend. The location and room swung the choice for me over a place in the town. Booked a King suite which was a reasonable size and had a king size bed, a fireplace and a fantastic view across the valley. Room was very clean. Breakfast was included in the price and plenty of food to chose from. Free wash and hair samples from the spa were available from a basket in the restaurant. We had to ask for extra towels as they only supplied two bath towels which wasn't enough if you wanted to use the hot tubs. There was no problem in getting them but would have been nice to have some in the room. The shuttle drivers were great, very friendly, fun and accommodating. We used them a lot during our stay tipping them $5 for each trip. They picked us up from the hotel or anywhere in town, advised on places to eat and were quick to arrive. They even offered to pick up food that we had ordered for us. In general the staff were very helpful. However we wanted a late checkout. Regular checkout is 11am and the shuttle was picking us up at 2:30pm to take us back to Denver (recommend Peak 1). The first person we spoke to was a lady and she said no because the room was required for the next visitor even though we hadn't told her what room we were in. Phoned later and spoke to the guy who had checked us in late on the Friday. He was far more helpful and said midday otherwise they would have to charge us for another day.
“End os season getaway”
Excellent experience, beautiful views, superb staff.
“Love the quietness and hot tubs”
It was great wish the shuttle service and hot tub was open longer hours.
“Nice!”
Stayed just one night. Lovely mountain views. Free bus into town.
“Best view of Breck”
Awesome lill gem up in the hills facing Breck Ski Resort.
“great value and pet friendly”
tucked away on mountain opposite of ski slopes, so great view. generous size room with comfortable beds, clean bathroom and windows that open. staff was extremely welcoming and helpful - it was like staying with my family. The common areas were just what you want in an old lodge: big comfortable chairs and sofas, rocking chairs and fire places. free transportation and bus stop just out the front door. did not have my pet with me but enjoyed seeing other guests with theirs. will definitely stay here again.
“Close to the action but removed”
I had a nearby appointment and Expedia showed this as the closest and most inexpensive place to stay. Sometimes that can be the kiss of death. It is rustic construction with some obvious miles but overall quiet and pleasant. I did not use the Spa or hot tub but it was inviting. My room was spacious with two queeens and a nice little deck overlooking the courtyard. It is no Four Seasons but it was also less than a Cnote for the night. Also it included a breakfast which was a nice addition since it is at the top of the hill. I did not ride the shuttle downtown but also a nice perk.
“Great weekend destination!”
Nice place to stay for a moderate pric staff great!e.
“Cosy and beautiful”
I had a great time at this lodge! The facilities are very pleasant, well maintained and the hot tubs available at the balcony are perfect. The view is absolutely amazing! It is very well located. I highly recommend it!
“On top of Breckenridge”
This hotel sits atop of one of the mountains and is at 10,200 ft! The views are spectacular! Everything else was superb as well. It is not particularly close to the lifts, but the shuttle service only takes 5-7 minutes.
