Spa
With a focus on relaxation and restoring balance and energy, Amora Spa provides escape for the senses to a calming oasis in the middle of Sydney's bustling city centre. A variety of treatments combine Eastern traditions with modern Western products and techniques. All services include a warm-towel foot massage as well as specially-blended tea in the post-treatment lounge.
Located on the hotel's third floor, Amora Spa offers a relaxing retreat in the heart of the CBD. Adjacent to the fitness room, pool, and spa tub, one beauty therapy and four candle-lit treatment rooms welcome guests with a blend of dark wood and contemporary furnishings. A comprehensive treatment menu is carried out by therapists trained in Thailand at the Banyan Tree Spa Academy ensuring all services are consistently carried out by capable hands.
Serenity (150 minutes):
This session begins with Amora's signature massage using East-meets-West techniques to tune up circulation. A milk and rice pouch treatment, in which a warm pouch of steamed rice and warm milk is passed over the body, nourishes the skin and relieves aching muscles.
Equilibrium (90 minutes):
Get back to basics with treats for the body and face. Let the therapist knead tight muscle knots on the back, followed by a face massage to bring the whole body back into equilibrium. This treatment varies in intensity according to guests' personal preferences.
Dreams (90 or 120 minutes):
This calming experience is the perfect remedy for jet lag, especially for tired and worn-out bodies. The therapist uses long, firm strokes with warm sesame oil to soothe tense muscles, synchronising the body clock and mind.
Ibu's Secret (90 or 120 minutes):
Adapted from traditional Balinese techniques, this deep-tissue massage aids blood circulation and relieves tension. Invigorating effects are enhanced by the warming properties of turmeric and eucalyptus extracts in the formulated essential oils used.
Essentials (150 minutes):
This total session is an essential part of beauty therapy. Combine any choice of massage and facial for an invigorating treat that brings about a glow in the face. Fatigue fades away as the session soothes senses and smoothes the skin for a refreshed and rejuvenated feel.
Organic Refresher Facial (60 minutes)
Start with a light yet invigorating exfoliation from organically grown rosehip and maize or almond and mineral. This is followed by a peach mask packed with fresh fruit pulps and the juice of peaches, cherries, carrots and pumpkins to enrich the complexion. A serum and freshly-whipped moisturiser leaves skin revitalised.
Organic Men's Cleanser (90 minutes):
Finely crushed almonds and minerals gently exfoliate, detoxify, and cleanse while a massage with extracts of stone-crop cactus re-hydrates and heals. A cream pumpkin and orange mask made from organic ingredients completes this treatment.

“Expensive”
This is a nice hotel in a good location but, as everything else in Australia (particularly Sydney), it was expensive beyond belief. No wifi, costly use of internet and parking, breakfast buffet cost is eye-popping.
“Excellent, centrally located hotel”
Found this hotel on Expedia. The reviews were favorable and the location and price were what I was looking for. Brought my wife to Sydney for a week to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and this hotel was excellent for us. When checking in we mentioned the special occasion for our visit and we were upgraded at no additional cost. Reasonably priced eating establishments are nearby.
“Would go back next time in Sydney”
Reasonably priced and pleasant, as well as well located for Circular Quay and bridge etc
“Best service ever!”
The employees of this hotel were above and beyond helpful. The room was a little smaller than it looked on the virtual tour, but it was fantastic! The bed was so soft and cozy! My only complaint is that the hot tub was being worked on when we were there. This hotel had all the comfort of a really high-dollar hotel at a much better price. It had great security and was within walking distance to EVERYTHING. Highly recommended!
“Very pleasant stay in dowtown Sydney”
Excellent location, friendly staff, nice and quiet rooms, great pool, cannot ask for more!
“great!”
close to circular quay ferries and shops at the rocks...lovely place to stay very comfortable and great use of space.
“Brilliant Hotel - Top Class Service”
Stayed here for 10 nights for our honeymoon in December 2006. When we arrived at the hotel we had been travelling for 42 hours from the UK (our flight had been delayed 11 hours in Dubai)So we were so jet lagged. We were greeted by a very friendly lady at the reception who booked us in very quickly!! We were on the 33rd floor (1 floor from the top) & the view was amazing. The bed was so comfortable & could have taken it home with me if i could have got it in my suitcase. The Concierge were so helpful & very friendly indeed. They knew so much about the city, the best tours & the best places to eat etc. The pool was small but not busy at all & went in the jucuzzi every day!! The hotel location is also excellent. Less than a five minute walk from the harbour bridge, opera house& the rocks. Only 10-15 minutes walk from Darling Harbour. Hotel is on Jamison Street wjich is off George Street - which is the main shopping area & there are many take aways within a few minutes walking distance. The underground station is just 2 mins walk from the hotel also. We had a Jamison Club room which gave us access to Jamison Club Facilities (breakfast, evening canapies 5pm-7pm, internet access etc) at only which i would highly recommend. I can go on about how amazing this hotel is but you if you visit Sydney this is a MUST stay hotel.
“Good location, close to the rocks and all the main attractions.”
Hotel was very comfortable, staff attentive. Our only small complaint was the steam room/sauna. This was not functioning correctly, and there was no instructions for use.
“Very impressive”
The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel for all of this and its fantastic location, only a few minutes walk from The Rocks and Circular Quay, I only wish we had stayed for longer.
“Great location”
Great location, close to everything. The hotel was clean and the staff was exceptionally knowledgable about the area with recommendations that were spot on.
