“Great place to stay.”
A lovely hotel in a fabulous location. The view from the roof was great and the hot tub was delightful. I love that they labeled the pillows based on the softness/firmness. Breakfast buffet a little expensive, but lots of coffee shops nearby.
“Fantastic location near Circular Quay”
Well maintained and clean hotel in a superb location. A little pricey but worth the treat. Staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable. Parking was reasonable for a valet service in the heart of central Sydney. The only downside for me was noisy neighbours through a close but adjoining door. Would still want to stay here again though.
“Great location for kids new to the Harbour City”
Thanks to the great location of the Holiday Inn Old Sydney - close to Circular Quay and the Opera House - our family had a wonderful weekend break in Sydney. From the double decker train ride from the airport, then the short walk to the hotel, to the stroll to the Opera House as well as the ferry ride to the National Maritime Museum from Circular Quay - the hotel proved a well chosen base. For dinner we went to Cafe Sydney in Customs House, just opposite Circular Quay - and again it was a lovely stroll back to the hotel. And the highlight - swimming in the rooftop pool with the stunning view of the Harbour Bridge AND the Opera House
“Last minute booking”
Great location. Friendly staff. Bed a bit uncomfortable and didn't like waking up to the smell of toast from the breakfast cafe, so ask for a room above level one. Overall a great stay.

View of the Harbour Bridge from our room was fantastic. The position of this hotel made it very easy to walk to tourist sites, and to Central Quay. The Rocks markets on the weekend just surrounded us. It was great.
“Fabulous location”
Excellent location close to the harbour bridge and opera house. we could see both of these iconic sights from our room window, Room was spacious with good facilities, nice idea to leve mini-bar fridge empty, only filled on request so we could keep our own soft drinks/milk fresh. Pool on the roof of the hotel nice although a bit chilly, views from up there were really nice. lots of places to eat at better prices than the hotel in the surrounding area.

“best location in the rocks”
The location was excellent for all our needs: restaurants, entertainment and nearby sights. Didn't opt for a harbour view room but had a great view of old rocks buildings and city skyline. Room was not large but extremely well designed to maximise the space. Didn't seem small at all and we were three travellers in the one room. Check in was a little slow but not a problem. Staff were really friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
“THE ROCKS IS THE PLACE”
I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Old Rocks Hotel simply because of its location. I was a little worried about reviews from other visitors but i found nothing wrong with the hotel. The location to Circular Quay, the Harbor bridge and the Opera house is unbeatable. The little restaurants in the immediate area are great value. The room i had was simple but comfortable and when you turn out the lights even 5 star hotel rooms look the same, besides there was so much to see and do i was hardly ever in it. I truly recommend this hotel and if i ever go back to Sydney its the first hotel i will look at staying at again.
