“Excellent location; helpful management and staff”

This is a find tucked away behind Martin Place. Rooms are clean and comfortable and management was quick to change our room when the air conditioning proved to be defective. The only drawback is the outlook which is a view of offices in the opposite building across the lane. Some building noise was heard but did not trouble us. Rooms are spacious with a well eqipped kitchen. Bathrooms are small but adequate.

“Quiet, comfort”

Located very near Martin Place, and very quiet and comfortable. The apartment was fitted with all that is necessary for a longer stay too. There was no view as such, just offices across the narrow little street. Suited me, as I saw most of Sydney during the day and wanted a good sleep at night. Very helpful staf,f and was thoroughly serviced and spotlessly clean. Would certainly stay there again.

“Great family hotel/apartment”

I traveled to Sydney over Christmas with my wife and 4 kids. We reserved 2 rooms and asked when making the reservation for 3 things. Two rooms next to each other, high floors because I read noise can be a problem with the lower floors and an early check-in since our United flight was arriving around 8am. They granted all 3 requests and were all extremely friendly. The location is great, an easy 5 minute walk to the harbor. There is a very large grocery store 2 minutes away and numerous restaurants to choose from in the immediate area. The staff will book excursions and are very knowledgeable. The internet worked great and the TV has a marginal selection. There is no swimming pool even though one was advertised on Expedia. They have an agreement with another Medina hotel in the area for the use of a pool. I would be very happy to stay at this hotel/apartment again in the future.

“Great Location in Central Sydney”

The Medina Classic at Martin Place was a great choice for our 4 night stay in Sydney. Located midway between central city and Circular Quay provided easy access in both directions. Great to have full kitchen facilities - saves on constantly buying meals out - we found a Coles store with reasonable priced groceries. Plenty of transport almost out front, free city bus and rail station. Recommend a weekly combined rail/bus/ferry pass for those staying 4 - 7 days. Saves lots of time and very convenient and cost effective. Hotel is down a laneway, so don't expect a view, but price and proximity to everything more than compensates.

“Good value down town Sydney”

Ideally situated for night out in town. Clean facilities, very comfortable, extra bed had been provided for small extra cost, Nice staff and handy to everywhere.

“Excellent Stay”

This apartment was a home away from home. It was clean, modern and well presented. The bed was comfortable and provided many good sleeps. The location was perfect for seeing the sights around Sydney city. We were very happy with our stay. The rubbish trucks weren't bothersome and office across the alley kept their blinds closed.

Excellent all round. The only drawback was the location re outlook - but then, most Sydney hotels have tjhe same problem. (We selected because of its proximity to the Martin Place U/ground. We intentded to use it to travel to the airport - but found that this station was no longer a terminal for the airpot rail services. However ...

“Excellent location and value for money”

We stayed at the Medina Classic for 4 nights and thought value for money was unbelievable. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had a kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, sitting room and a laundry tucked away. It is located in central Sydney within walking distance to almost anywhere. If there was any downside it would be getting in and out of the shower it is quite high. I would definately recommend staying at the Medina.

Everything about the hotel was great. We were on the 1st floor and had some noise during one night from the alley. Upper floors are a better choice.

“Will stay here again”

Good value and well located one-half block from to St. Martins Place in central business district. QVB and department stores three blocks away. Five blocks to Ferry terminal, (Circular Quay) and opera house. Comfortable/clean apartment with well appointed kitchen, dishwasher, etc. Pleasant desk staff and management. Only drawback for some may be that the entrance is off street in an alley - not a problem for us. Best accommodation in my eight trips to Sydney..
