Property Amenities
The Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, has 563 guestrooms over the 36-storey tower block in the historic Rocks district. It offers views of the iconic Opera House and Harbor Bridge from its Altitude Restaurant and Blu Bar on 36, and from many of its guestrooms. It has a full-service conference area with a wide range of meeting venues, as well as a 24-hour business centre. CHI, The Spa offers a range of massage and beauty therapies. A hair and beauty salon is located on the same floor, in addition to a 20-meter heated indoor pool with adjoining sundeck. On-site shops include a jewelry store and gift shop. On-site secure parking with valet service is available (surcharge) and a roundtrip airport shuttle (surcharge) is available on request.
The Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, conference venue has a wide selection of function rooms to suit a range of requirements, from small groups to large-scale receptions. The complete 1,900 square metres of function space has full technological facilities.
The business centre at the Shangri-la Hotel, Sydney, is located at the ground floor. It offers computer workstations with complimentary wireless Internet access. Photocopying, faxing, scanning, and audiovisual hire are offered. Laptops and mobile phones may also be rented.

Conference/function room(s): Conference facilities at the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney extend over four levels and include a ballroom and 17 other function rooms, a number of which can be combined to create additional spaces of varying sizes. Many of the rooms feature large foyers and break-out rooms. The Grand Ballroom is 670 square metres, and accommodates 900 guests in theatre style or 450 in classroom style. It can be divided into two. The Heritage Plaza is a 130 square metre weatherproofed courtyard surrounded by heritage-listed cottages, and can accommodate up to 200 people. The Bradfield Lounge, which has balconies, is 155 square metres, hosting 100 in cocktail style or 50 in classroom style, while the 92 square metre Harlequin Room can host 80 in cocktail style or 50 in classroom style. Other meeting rooms range in size from 185 square metres to 26 square metres. Audiovisual equipment, international video conferencing, simultaneous translations, lecterns, microphones, and other equipment is available.
Rooms
Guestrooms at the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, were refurbished in 2005 to offer expansive harbour views and an abundance of natural light, with large, triple-glazed windows providing views of the city and Sydney Harbour. Beds are topped with premium bedding such as 300-thread-count sheets, goose down quilts, pillow menu, silk throws, and Thai silk bed heads. Executive desks have dual-line phones, independent fax line, and complimentary high-speed Internet access. Cable/satellite TV offer pay movies and premium channels such as BBC, CNN, Sky Movies, Sky Sports, and Bloomberg. Minibars have refrigerators and tea/coffee kettles. Other amenities include irons and ironing boards, bathrobes and slippers, and a safe which accommodates laptops. The marble bathrooms have a separate tub and shower and complimentary toiletries are provided.

Altitude Restaurant - Perched high above Sydney's spectacular harbor at the top of the Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney, Altitude Restaurant is among the city's iconic dining experiences. Modern Australian cuisine and an extensive boutique wine list are accented by 5-meter high floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Sydney Harbor. A lavish, glass-encased private dining room seats up to 16 and is available for private engagements. Open for dinner daily from 6 PM, except Sunday.
Blu Bar on 36 - Located high above the city with panoramic views of Sydney Harbor Bridge, Opera House, and Darling Harbor. Blu Bar on 36 exudes sophistication and is an attraction in its own right. Open daily from 5 PM.
Café Mix - An all-day dining restaurant with a focus on "fresh" and "diverse." Located on level one of the hotel, Café Mix offers an exquisite selection of international cuisine and scrumptious desserts. Buffet lunch is available daily and buffet dinner is available on Friday and Saturday. Open daily from 6 AM.
Lobby Lounge & Terrace - An elegant bar in Sydney where you can view a landscaped garden through two-story windows. It is a favorite meeting place to relax and enjoy gourmet coffees and teas all day, light snacks and tantalising cocktails. Sit back and relax in the peaceful surrounds of the Lobby Lounge and the outdoor Terrace. Open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM, and Sunday from 8:30 AM.
Recreation
The health club on level two has a 24-hour fitness center offering a wide range of the latest cardio and strength equipment, free weights, weight machines, and resistance equipment. A 20-meter indoor pool has a spa tub and adjoining sundeck. There is also a sauna and a cold plunge pool.
The King George V fitness centre, just 100 meters from the hotel, offers aerobics, yoga and Pilates lessons, as well as basketball courts. Within 1 km of the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney, via the Sydney Opera House, is the Royal Botanic Gardens with a foreshore running and walking track. Bicycle rentals are available in nearby Clarence Street, and tennis courts in Kent Street. A 10-minute taxi ride away is Centennial Park, offering extensive running and walking tracks in addition to horse riding. Golf is available at Moore Park Golf Club (5 km), Bondi Golf Club (7 km) or Lane Cove Country Club (10 km). Sailing, windsurfing and kayaking is available in Rose Bay, a 15-minute taxi ride from the hotel. The seaside suburb of Manly (30 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay) offers sea kayaking, surfing, scuba diving, parasailing, and numerous harbour walks.

“Consistent Shangri-La Offering”
Usual Shangri-La high standard, great location overlooking the opera house. Slightly disappointed that there was no Shang Palace restaurant.
“Unbeatable !”
It was my first stay at Shangri-La Hotel property and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was blown away impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. We required a double bed and while booking with expedia they only have a single King. The hotel was not obligated to give us the double bed but they honored the request by upgrading us to a more expensive suite proactively. The room had a view of both the Sydney Opera & Harbour Bridge. Couldn't have asked for more in terms of service. Worth every penny.
“The Perfect Stay!!!”
We had the most wonderful stay in Shangri-La hotel Sydney. I spoke with one of the receptionist, telling her that it was my husband B'day and when we came back to the hotel after our dinner, there was a B'day cake waiting for us in the room! This was the most wonderful detail that they did for us. I was very impressed :0) Erna H
“Premier Grand Harbour View”
Stayed at the Premier Grand Harbour View on Lvl 14. The best view in all of Sydney for Harbour Bridge and Opera House. In-room breakfast next to the large windows + the views is just awesome. Great idea for any romantic stays, highly recommended.
