“Jacuzzi luxury”
Had a great time despite the weather being miserable. Location of hotel is fine if you are fit and able to walk the 15 minutes to the old town. The suggestion that the hotel is next to a shopping is a bit misleading as it takes at least 10 minutes brisk walking! Hotel prices were comparable for eating in the restaurant or room service to other restaurants close by. If going to the old town eat on the approach and not in the centre for better value, The Rapid Rabbit was excellent, good value and cooked fresh to order, if you want to eat near the hotel the Mandarin - 2 minutes away - is an excellent Chinese but beware of the portion size, they are huge! Would definitely return but probably save the next visit for the better weather.
“Amazing front desk service”
We arrived grumpy after being charged double fare by the taxi driver. The lady at the desk let us call the dispatch number. Dispatch was less than helpful, so she asked us to leave it with her. We headed up to our room which was nicely decorated and very clean. There was a smell in the bathroom....like the sewer had backed up. We asked for another room and were promptly moved. The air con was broken in the hotel but the windows opened so we were comfortable. They also sent up a free bed for our small daughter without us asking. The only minor complaint about the room was that there was no fridge. Odd, because there was a space for one, so maybe they're installing them soon because some rooms apparently do have one. There was a safe, however. Breakfast was lovely and there was a large play area for children that was well stocked with toys. The day before we left we got a call from the lovely lady at reception. She said that the taxi driver who ripped us off would like to drive us back to the ferry free of charge! Very odd. We accepted, and as we were leaving the lady met us in the lobby - on her day off - to make sure that the driver showed up as promised. We are fairly certain that she called him personally and gave him an earful about ripping off tourists! She saw us off with a bright smile for us and a scowl for the driver.
“Fine Tallinn hotel”
This hotel was very comfortable with a good restaurant and breakfast in an Estonian style beer cellar. Very helpful and friendly staff, but like all Baltic hotels they seem in no hurry to make up rooms each day. Usually got to it by late afternoon. A short (15 min) walk to the old town of Tallinn. Otherwise, nothing near hotel except office buildings. I would not hestitate to stay there again.
“Excellent reasonably priced hotel, short walk from old town”
The hotel is a short walk from the Old Town (10 mins). It is very competitively priced. The staff were all very friendly and neither my partner nor I have anything negative to say about our stay.
“great value stay...”
The hotel is located outside of the old town but in easy walking distance to the old town for sightseeing and eating out in the old town, the breakfast buffet is great and its a really good value hotel. The only downside is the lack of dining options close by, the hotel has a brazilian restaurant and there is a cheap chinese nearby, so we walked back into the old town in the evening for our meals.
“Remarkable Stay”
I cannot say enough for the hotel or for Tallinn. We were told the hotel was a 15 minute walk from the Old Town up a hill but it is no further than a 10 minute walk at a comfortable pace. The staff are very friendly and the hotel itself is very clean, the free internet in the room is a real bonus. Breakfast is probably not the best but for what you pay it is more than adequate. I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to see Tallinn, which is one of the most amazing places I have ever been.
“Outstanding Service”
Once again a moderately priced hotel comes with all the trimmings. There was a PC right in the room and there was no charge to use it! (Also the option to use you own notebook.) Included breakfast was ample and tasty. Front desk service was adequate. Location, while not right downtown, was within easy walking to the older part of the city. All in all, a very good choice at a good price. Why pay more unless you plan to spend all day in your room?
“Great Hotel”
Stayed here for three nights in November 2009 and I can't speak too highly of this hotel. OK so the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the Old Town (which sounds fine but in Nov it is -2 so that walk seems longer!) and there is nothing to do in the immediate surroundings of the hotel but that's where the cons end. The pros are endless - the staff are very professional and helpful, the rooms are clean and extremely comfortable and if you get a Zen room (and I highly recommend you do) the bathroom is something else. Great hotel... 5 stars.
“Great value and good location.”
Walking distance from downtown. Very friendly staff. If I go back to Tallinn, I would definitely stay there again. Internet service was free but not very reliable, minor hiccup.
“Overall i really enjoyed the trip, but would probably go back when it's warmer!”
After an unscheduled stop in Berlin, finally reached the hotel, where upon checking in the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault the room really (except maybe a tad cold, but warmed up very quickly) - it was very clean and well maintained. As it was the middle of January, there weren't too many tourists about, but there was plenty to see and do. A walk along the harbour was very enjoyable - that was probably down to us mucking about in the snow! St Alexander church was amazing - it was like a beacon on a hill. The viewing platforms near here offered really spectacular views off the whole of Tallinn - and i think the snow made it look magical!
