“A fantastic stay”
We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the hotel. As mentioned above the hotel was excellent in all its physical attributes. The view of San Francisco across the Bay was superb, especially from the patio at the back of the hotel. The little shops in the area were nice and not too touristy. We did not try any of the restaurants in the area but they all looked nice. We would definitely go back if the opportunity presents itself.
“Excellent choice”
This is a great hotel for what it is, a small boutique in a great location with access to everything. The hotel is quickly accessible to restaurants, shops and downtown businesses, and is right by the ferry to San Francisco. I didn't require much service, but when I did the staff were polite and attentive.
“Great Hotel with Helpful Staff”
We chose Tiburon as we could not find anywhere suitable to stay in Sausalito, but what a find it was! Quieter and more elegant, and with fabulous views across to SF, which was only a ferry hop away, it was wonderful! The Waters Edge was just great, right on the dock and with those same views. We had a King room, and added a rollaway for my adult daughter, which was all done with no fuss and no charge. The breakfast was ideal for us - continental, but excellent quality (far better than the usual hotel breakfasts!). Other reviews talked about Sam's (next door) being noisy. We were there Mon thro Wed nights (in August to) and it was very quiet, but I could imagine Fri and Sat nights could be a bit loud if you have a room on that side! All in all, it was a great hotel, with helpful staff in a fabulous location - we'll be back!
“Waters Edge is a hidden gem”
Love this hotel!
“Loved it!”
We love the Water's Edge Hotel. We stayed there on our honeymoon and it was the perfect place. It is very modern in decor but also very cozy at the same time. The staff is very personable and friendly. The complimentary breakfast delivery was wonderful as well as the complimentary wine service in the lobby. If you want to stay somewhere you can relax but also near San Francisco this is the perfect place. The ferry is just outside the hotel.
“Will definitely go back. A real couples delight”
We had a great weekend get away, celebrating my husband's birthday. Staff is very warm and welcoming. Great wine and cheese reception and plenty of it. Morning breakfast is nice, as you can make your own tray and go back and get in the bed. The robes provided were very comfortable. Will definitely come back.
“The Best Hotel in the Area”
Far better than staying on the mainland in San Fransisco, A lot quieter at night and the ferry across to San Fransisco is on the doorstep. The cheese and wine reception every night is great as is the breakfast delivered to your room every morning. A great Hotel.
“Thanks - we will certainly be back!”
The Waters Edge was exactly what we were looking for as we did not want to stay in a large, high-rise hotel in the city with noise and traffic. The service and accommodations were very personal and the facility very private. The view from the deck was fantastic and our room was delightful. The breakfast in bed was just what the doctor ordered and we only wish that we could have stayed longer. Thanks, we will be back!
“Relaxing weekend”
Although our room did not have a view of the water, it did over look the street which had a dozen or so quaint shops and restaurants. Amenities included free parking about a half block away, complimentary apples, coffee and tea, a delicious breakfast brought to your room, wine and cheese at night, a lending library of videos, comfortable robes, and a cozy fire. There are several restaurants near even to walk to. There is not a lot happening but it is very relaxing. Bring a good book or walk to the bay for beautiful SF skyline views.
“Great Hotel”
Our recent stay at the Waters Edge Hotel was excellent in every way. A great experience!
