“Excellent services, however, it is too far from town.”
It is an excellent hotel with great services and Swiss hospitality. They do have free shuttle service into town at regular intervals with later pick-ups. For me, the hotel was too far out from the main town of Lugano. Certainly not within walking distance. Wonderful location overlooking the lake. Staff were extremely helpful and interested in meeting your needs. Excellent Wi-Fi service. If the hotel was closer into town, I wouldn't hesitate staying there again.
“Tremendous Gem on the banks of Lago di Lugano”
There are few hotels in the world that enjoy a location such as this. I used to think the great Palazzo hotels on Lago di Como such as Villa D'Este and Villa Serbeloni were incredible, but this is a fabulous and luxurious hotel, located right on the Lake and with magnificent rooms, that have recently been upgraded and modernized. At the price, this is a superb deal.

great staff, upgraded our room because they knew was a special occasion. thank you again! the restaurant on the lake was probably the best in the whole canton! i would go back anytime!
“Excellent Hotel!”
Hotel is in a beautiful position though a distance from the centre of Lugano and the nearest village is about a 15mins walk from the hotel. Restaurant was expensive and the hotel was very quiet when we stayed so we walked to next village every evening to eat where we found lovely local restaurants.Staff were very friendly and helpful . We had booked a room with mountain view which was really at the back of the hotel so no view but room was lovely though a little dark. The pool area is right on the lake and a great place to relax after a day sightseeing. Would recommend this hotel
“Beautiful Location”
The` hotel is at a stunning location on the lake Lugano. Excellent facilities and superb breakfast. However, the price comparison against value seems not balanced. We also felt like "online tourists" as we had the very last room chucked in the corner with not fully functional TV. We booked another room for our son for nearly the same price and got a much better value for the money. Nevertheless the area made up for this and we did enjoy after all.
“High quality, but expensive food”
$12 for tea was ridiculous. The food and service was excellent, but way overpriced.

Very pleasant stay. Excellent SPA area. Morcote is just beautiful.
