“Tokyo Feb 2012”
We stayed on the 15th floor and from the balcony had spectacular views of Tokyo city - magical especially at night. The rooms had easy comfortable relaxing chairs as well as desk facilities and the bed and bathroom facilities were excellent. Only little niggle was there was not milk provided for the coffee or tea facility only coffee mate - yuk. Staff were very obliging and loved the idea of vouchers to spend in the hotel cafe or gift shop if you decided to be green and not have your bedding / towels / room cleaned every day.
“I will stay again”
Not only excellent in general, it is convenient because they have limousine bus straight to narita airport, which made my trip so easy. New takanawa hotel is more recommended than takanawa.
“Good location, good size, new room, clean”
Got a suite on the 16th floor, nice size (60 sqm). Room looks quite new, comfortable bed. Club lounge is a bit disappointing, only drinks and a few basic snacks (cheese, crackers) were provided. All restaurants are all on the older wing, so it's a bit of a walk . Breakfast is quite chaotic (crowded), dated furniture, but has variety of different choices. Convenient location (close to train/shinkanshen/subway). Also, the near by Annex has a small Aquarium, great place to be if travelling with children. One thing, they no longer offer shuttle bus to Disney, however, it's quite fast to get their by train.
“Excellent Services”
The hotel staff was very courteous, and the concierge was most helpful in finding places in Tokyo, and even provided maps of areas near subway stops, etc. Hotel is close to Shinagawa train station (a major stop for intracity trains as well as trains outbound to places such as Kamakura. The hotel has a large, beautiful Japanese garden with bell tower, ponds, waterfalls, and flowering plants of all varieties. Internet access is free, and the breakfast buffet is exceptionally good.
“Beautiful Hotel and Great Experience”
Excellent Hotel, front desk speaks english, which is very nice to have while in japan where english outside of the hotels is rarely a quality. The room was nice and big with a view of the garden. I found the restaurants to be a bit expensive, but they are buffet style and there are 3 of them. This hotel is definitely for the person who has a bit more money to give out.
“Awesome hotel”
awesome
“Excellent hotel for Single Traveller or Families”
Hotel Grand Prince New Takanawa is a great hotel to stay in (for the leisure or Business traveller and families). The Airport Limousine Bus stops at the doorstep of the hotel, while from and to Narita Airport. The Hotel staff speak excellent English. The room was very large and comfortable ( about 15 ft x 15 ft ). The bathroom was spacious and extremely clean. The linen and towels were as good as they can get. An Adapter for the Electrical socket was provided on request that could accomodate all kinds of chargers. There is a handy ATM machine inside the hotel, close to the elevator area on the ground floor, that accepts VISA and MASTER ( credit/debit cards ) and many other cards. The staff at the Guest Relations Desk were particularly helpful. The hotel was very quiet and there was absolutely no trace of smoke in either the room or the corridors. The adjacent Japanese garden was very nice and a stroll around it proved very relaxing. The hotel provides umbrellas to guests, so you are never caught in the rain. Shinagawa Station is just 5 minutes by walk and the road outside the hotel takes you straight to the Station. Overall I really enjoy my stay in this hotel and I appreciate the helpful staff and their services.
“very convenient place in tokyo”
It is located in a convenient location. Just take a bus ($30) from Narita Airport, the bus will take you to the entrance of the hotel in one hour. Ask for a corner room (100 sq ft larger) if it is available. If you stay multiple nights, you may be upgraded to a better room (comes with bath robes, slippers, and PJs).
“Great stay in Shinagawa”
This hotel is a 5 minute walk (downhill to and uphill from) from the Shinagawa train station which is a major hub for Tokyo and made it very easy for us to get around. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly and accomodating. It looks like all rooms in the building we stayed at had balconys which was nice for the mornings and evening. The pools were closed but looked nice - the gym cost too much $ to try out. There was also a Outback Steakhouse and TGI Fridays on the same block so it made for a nice meal on those tired nights. I would definitely stay here again if I end up in Tokyo.
“Great Stay!!”
Would stay there again. Very nice hotel, comfortable beds, good location
