“Very impressive hotel”
This hotel was in an excellent location about 150m from Tokyo Central Station with an easy walk. It had excellent helpful staff, it had excellent accomodation and facilities. I would highly recommended it.
“Easy access to railstation”
Perfect for travelers moving on to other destinations because of it's proximity to Tokyo Station - It's literally across the street. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful; The rooms are small but very modern and comfortable.
“Quality Hotel”
Not a typical tourist hotel, it is modern, clean, well equipped and priced, with an ideal location two minutes walk from the Tokyo Station, take the Yeasu North exit, cross the road and walk 100 metres. This hotel was ideal for a first time visit to Tokyo due to its easy to find location, especially arriving from the airport on the train. Considering the location and the quality, it also represents value for a western style hotel.
“Fabulous location, every possible convenience”
This hotel was excellent value. Small room but with every possible convenience including fridge, kettle, TV, free wifi, bath AND shower - even origami papers and instructions should you find yourself with time on your hands! The location is also fabulous - just 2 blocks from the famous Mitsukoshi , Tokyo's oldest and most glamorous department store, and a short walk from the heart of Ginza. And Tokyo Station just up the road makes getting anywhere at all pretty easy. On a sunny day, the short walk tot he Imperial Palace and Gardens is also a bonus. Staff friendly and helpful, great top floor lounge to relax in and drink tea and read books from the library. Lots of coffee shops within a minute's walk and also a Family Mart shop just next door. Can't recommend highly enough.
“Modern and very conveniently located beside Tokyo rail station”
The hotel is very modern and the service at check in was great, quick and effective. Location is great if you want to stay around the Tokyo rail station, I cannot think of a better located place. It is important for us that we also used this hotel one more time during our trip to Japan, after our first stay we booked through Expedia. We arrived there without any type of reservation, as we had arrived in Tokyo Rail station very late one evening, and after looking around the station we went back to Ryumeikan. The hotel manager acknowledged that we had stayed there and not only gave us a good room with a significant discount, but offered us breakfast with it.
“Why pay more?”
Hotel Ryumeikan may not a luxury hotel, but it is clean, stylish, reasonably priced, offers a good standard of service and, above all, is exceptionally well located. Our room was a double on the 9th floor. We did not try the breakfast, but do recommend the Japanese restaurant on the 15th floor, next to the hotel reception. Our room didn't have a great view, as it was located towards the rear of the hotel and my tip would be to try and secure a room overlooking the main road, Sotobori Dori. The ensuite facilities were excellent, including hi-tech loo however, more assistance in english is welcomed for the WC and A/C controls. It is a breeze to get to Narita from here, Tokyo Station being an easy 5 minutes walk (with luggage).
“A Little Luxury in Tokyo”
We chose this hotel because the rooms looked great on Expedia and most importantly it was right outside the Tokyo train station (and we had an early morning train to catch to Kyoto). So convenience was key. Being so close to the Tokyo train station was quite nice. There is PLENTY of station shopping and the hotel is right out the station and then left about two minutes walk down the main road (you can see it once you walk out of the station). No need for a taxi; we rolled our suitcases along the sidewalks and crossed over the main road at a big crosswalk easily. We booked one of the smaller rooms the hotel offered, a private semi-double, but no worries there. There was plenty of room for our suitcases and and a desk area. Don't let the 3 1/2 star rating fool you…the rooms are nice! We had an HD tv and one of the most unique bathrooms we have experienced. The toilet is one of those electronic kinds that the lid opens electronically, a night light comes on when you have to go in the middle of the night (my husband loved this), a bidet, and the seat is heated…neat! And the shower is great…rain shower with 3 body level power sprays. You won't want to get out, it is sooo relaxing. The bed is okay…a hotel bed…never as nice as the one you have at home, but definitely not cardboard feeling. The only negative point (which shouldn't reflect on the hotel) is the restaurant attached to it. It is extremely overpriced for what you get…not worth it. We would definitely stay here again!
“Terrific Hotel .. what a deal !!”
This is an absolutely terrifc hotel - modern, techie ammenities .. rooms very adequate but alittle small .. great location ... very reasonably priced .. staff very helpful on answering our tourist questions .. I'd never hesitate to come back here again .. Howard
“Excellent hospitality and great location”
Took the Narita Express (NEX) from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station. Exited at Yuetsu North Exit of the train station and hotel was in visible site. Very easy for my wife and my 2 kids (2 & 6) to walk to the station daily form the hotel. Staff spoke good English and gave good advise and guided us to having a great holiday. At the entrance of the Hotel there is a convinient store. Surrounding the hotel there are many restaurants. Walking distance to 2 Halal Restaurants and close enough for my kids to even walk to Ginza in winter. Everything within reach. Disneland, DisneySea, Universal Studios, Ski Slopes/Resorts all a train ride away. Very grateful for a pleasant stay.
“Great value”
Very good location, about a three minute walk to Tokyo Station. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and an incredibly friendly staff. If we asked for directions they'd spend 5 minutes researching, would print out the route, and write the destination in kana for us. Highly recommended.
