“Great service in Topeka”
If you're looking for safe, clean & reasonably priced in Topeka, the Econo Lodge is it! Can't say enough about the great customer service, clean & well cared for rooms, flat screen tv, helpful staff, plus the service was great! (Did I mention that already!) I am very happy.
“Excellent value”
Great choice for a 3 star lodging. Older building, but clean and well maintained. The location and staff were excellent and I would stay again. Breakfast and pool were a big bonus!
“Good for the money”
My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights. The room was clean. It had a microwave, mini fridge, flat screen tv on the wall, a table and chairs, and a recliner. The AC worked well and the indoor pool/hot tub were decent. The staff was friendly, even when we check out late. Overall the motel exceeded my expectations for the price. Probably the best deal you will find without spending more.
“comfortable and affordable”
hotel was clean and comfortable and a good value for the price. The only problem was the door latch needed repair
“Great for the price”
One night stay for a concert in neighboring Lawrence. Lawrence hotels were way too expensive (being football season) and Topeka is a quick shot down I-70 so we opted to stay in Topeka. The check in staff were very pleasant and helpful. I got to my room and immediately wanted to shower. The room itself is quite spacious and very clean with a nice wall-mounted flat screen tv, minifridge and microwave. A queen size bed and full-ish sofa were also present (might have been a pull-out; I didn't check). The bathroom is awkwardly small (as in you have to stand between the toilet and tub to close the door small) but luckily the VERY large vanity area included pocket doors. After my shower I realized the included hair dryer only functioned on low. A quick call to the front desk and a visit by the totally nice maintenance guy and I had a fully functioning hair dryer. We didn't wake up early enough for the continental breakfast and didn't have time to check out the included and enclosed pool, so I cannot comment on those. The check out was a breeze. I was mostly impressed with the very polite and helpful nature of the front desk lady and the maintenance guy. We were watching one of the Brewers-Diamondbacks playoff games and the maintenance guy bantered with us regarding baseball and the local basketball obsession. The really great staff, decent and spacious room, and super well-functioning air conditioning made for a great stay.
“Okay for a quick stay.”
We stayed on nigh at this hotel while driving across country, The room was very clean and had a flat screen. The indoor pool and spa were in desperate need of new tile but the hot tub was large and very relaxing :)
“Well maintained, well located”
I stayed in this same complex 35 years ago. There are some signs of wear, but also signs of good maintenance. It is a good value.
“overall okay”
confortable and adequate for a short stay
“Nice motel for the money, clean & quiet, nice pool.”
This is an older motel, but they have fixed it up real nice. New vanity and tile in the shower. The pool was very clean, and the hot tub was wonderful! Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was very small, but adequate. The walls had been painted, but not really repaired. I would return, but would recommend only to folks who want value and a decent place to stay.
“Decent for the money”
You get what you paid for. Room was clean, staff was pleasant. Pillows needed to be changed -- they were "flat". Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay. The wireless broadband was not "high speed", but adequate.
