“Better than the current rating.”
My room was just great: everything worked. i liked the lainate 'wood' flooring, wch i found soft and much cleaner than carpets. There was absolutely no odor of smoke wch used to plague hotel rooms. only one elevator of two was working, but the other was being fixed. Really this hotel needs 4 elevators and shd find a way to incorporate them. Staff was courteous; the buffet was very good--not great, though: the bacon was not top quality, but still good.
“Great location for downtown Toronto”
The Strathcona is a perfect mid priced hotel to stay in downtown Toronto and take in all the sites. From there we enjoyed the entertainment district, the farmers market, and shopping.
“Clean, convenient”
I chose this hotel because I thought I might be traveling alone, so a safe, central, close-to-everything location was important to me. It was also an excellent price for the season - more reasonable than others I checked out. The room was not huge, but it was adequate, and very clean. The heater did not make noise. The bathroom had toiletries and a hairdryer, and there was an iron in the closet. I had a wireless laptop with me, and paid a few extra dollars for the use of the hotel's network. There is no parking specifically for this hotel, so I used an underground garage a few blocks down Front Street which was not outragious in price.

everything was great except for the size of the room n the HDTV which was a 13`tube tv
“Quiet area, close to all the attractions, parking nearby”
Fairly decent hotel in a really good area. The rooms are a little too small for two people though. Wireless internet acces is available through the hotel for a price, but you can also connect to other wireless signalls in the area that are free.

“Hidden Jewel”
What a location...i walked to almost everywhere i had to go...CN Tower,Rogers Centre,Roy Thompson Hall,the harbour and ofcourse shopping at Eaton centre.I also caught the airport shuttle from across the street.My local transportation cost $ 0. The hotel is being creatively renovated..i liked how they have made such good of space, and we all know in the heart of metros space is a premium.The rooms look very nice and bright..the wood flooring is so welcoming.The furniture is not like any other hotel i have stayed in...i am sure it is custom made...nice.It was spotless...actually i think they have been very smart by having sparkling white linen..no bedspreads or those bulky knotted duvets.The staff was exceptional and cheerful....one gentleman by name of Alex even walked me to the end of the street to show me the way.The breakfast host spoke in Polish with me...and gave me good practical tips.This is a jewel i have discovered and will be back every time i am in Toronto
“Will Return”
We were extemeley satisfied with the hotel.It was clean,comfortable and in a good location.The staff were helpful.Tickets for theatre and attractions can be booked at the front desk.
“Excellent value, great location”
Everything about the hotel was excellent, The staff, the decor, the finish, the location. They answered an e-mail enquiry promptly and provided a high level of service. When we encountered noisy the hotel responded within 3 minutes. The room was smaller but one of the best decorated, clean and well kept that I've been in.
“Great Service”
The front desk staff were very friendly and extremely helpful in dealing with Expedia and a change in reservations.
