“Seaside in Castellammare”
Excellent location on the sea and in front of a lovely piazza lined with palm trees and benches. Staff was friendly and helpful. Single room is slightly small but clean and well-equipped with a large terrace over-looking the sea. Recommended.
“Great hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Al Madarig. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel rooms were clean and comfortable . The breakfast was delicious with a huge selection so even if you stayed for a while you woulldn't get bored with it. There were many choices of restaurants within walking distances. We had a car and had to park on the street but there always seemed to be room for us nearby. Our room looked out on the sea and we had a beautiful view of it and the square. Square got a little busy and noisy at times but settled down by late night. Definitely a great place to stay and reasonably priced.
“Good hotel, but a noise problem”
We liked the location and view of the sea. Castelammare del Golfo is a town in a good location, with wonderful restaurants with good local seafood. The one problem we had with the hotel was that it fronted on a piazza that is a gathering place for young people, who zip in and out on their motorscooters and motorcycles until late at night. Saturday night was the worst, with the blasting music from a dance-club on the piazza going until 4:30 a.m. Nevertheless, we liked the town and hotel well enough to recommend staying at Al Madarig.
