“Friendly hotel! Helpfull staff! Great location!”
Hotel staff is really friendy and helps with everything promptly. The room was nice and clean! (toilet paper was missing and bulb was not working, but everything was replaced very quickly). The hotel is in good location and close to everything in the centre. The only minus is the breakfast, I expected better one because Italian food is fantastic, but I struggled to find something nice to eat during breakfast buffet in the hotel.
“A Wonderful Experience!”
This is the hotel to stay at if you desire a comfortable bed, clean room & friendly helpful service from a very nice staff. We looked forward to the delicious relaxed breakfast buffet every morning. Vews of the city from the room balcony were wonderful. Location to restaurants, Shopping and places of interest is perfect.
“nice by Italian standards”
The hotel was not what you would expect for a 4 star in the States, but it was still nice. The beds were somewhat hard but the room was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They recommended a restaurant across the street (their's was closed for a private party) - the food was wonderful! Some of the best we had in Italy. The hotel location was nice - in the historic section of Bari. It was just a short cab ride to the train. Overall we were very happy with it.
“May be the best Bari has to offer”
I was underwhelmed by the Palace which I had been told was the best hotel in Bari. The rooms were dated and ours looked out on the air conditioning shafts of other buildings. We went upstairs to their rooftop restaurant which I had been told was very good and left immediately as it was not very inviting and we would have been the only diners on a Saturday night. Breakfast was very good. Bari is not really a tourist destination and really an airport city and gateway to Puglia which is a fabulous area. If you have to spend a night in Bari the Palace may be your best bet but don't expect 4 star experience.
“Great Location but guest room was undesirable”
The location of this hotel to Bari sites and shopping can't be beat. But the room they gave me was awful. The carpet was heavily soiled and appeared not to have been cleaned since Ceasar's reign. I also had a floor lamp and chair in the room but there was a support pole right in front of them rendering them useless - there was no way to sit in the chair. Also, I doubt the hotel was full since it was their off season but they still gave me a room with no view. All I could see was the roof of the first floor and heating/cooling equipment. Morning desk staff was personable and pleasant but not the evening staff. Housekeeping staff was decent. If my stay was not prepaid I probably would have checked out. It is a shame too because with a little cleaning and rearranging of furniture this would be a good hotel.
“Old yet fine hotel in the heart of Bari”
The Palace Hotel has character and style, unfortunately looks kind of old and in need of some maintenance. Our room was old but fine, and the bathroom looked it had been last renovated in the seventies, if not earlier. Everything was clean, though. The staff was nice and helpful and the location in the historic and commercial heart of Bari is simply unbeatable. Overall, the Palace seems rather pricey for what it has to offer. Yet if you want to be within walking distance from everything in Bari, it is probably your best bet.
“Overpriced!!”
very disappointing. Was like a cheap hotel. low security, not very clean, horrible breakfast...etc etc would not recommend it
