Gerald Lounge - English country club décor with dark paneled wood walls, tapestries, oil paintings, leather and wingback chairs, and fireplace. Curved, marble-topped bar. Cocktails and light bistro fare.

Our stay at the La Grande Residence was great! Our room was larger than expected and very clean. The spa and pool/hot tub were great. The concierge was very helpful. And the location was prime-walking distance to Robson Street shopping, and a quick cab to some fun clubs. Highly recommended.

Without a doubt this is my preferred hotel in Vancouver - I've tried others and keep coming back. Hotel is convenient to everything. Like most hotels the restaurant is expensive (and the restaurant and hotel are definitely upscale - we amused ourselves counting the number of television and movie personalities walked through the lobby). Having said that, in comparison to nearby hotels this hotel is not expensive (room rates were considerably less than far less luxurious hotels that are within a couple of block radius).
“The best hotel experience EVER!!!”
We stayed at this hotel for 9 days in August for a family vacation. The service was second to none. This hotel was well worth the price we paid for it. There was a small kitchen and a separate bedroom which made it easy for us to travel with our 2 young kids. The concierge was amazing and the hotel staff was truly accomodating with each and every request. It has a great location, and a market right next door.

Great place to stay with children-especially as they were up for the first 3 nights with jetlag -easy to give them a bit of food /get a drink with well supplied kitchette.Also useful to have washing machine/dryers within hotel to use ourselves. Concierge very helpful and even lent us a stroller. Hotel in good central position .
“An EXCELLENT place to stay!”
We had nothing but the best service at this hotel--from the doormen to the ladies who cleaned our rooms! We were extremely pleased with the accomodation and would definately stay there again! We also liked the location which was very convenient for absolutely everything from walking to Stanley Park to ambling over to Gastown.
