“A great base to see the city from”
We were only at Moda for a day but it was great! Friendly staff, gorgeous room (small but big enough seeing as we were hardly there), great decor, quiet, three great options for air conditioning, none of which made it seem like that sickeningly fake AC environment. Oh and probably the safest, cleanest parkade ever. They even welcomed our dog to our pet friendly room. I'd go back any time!
“Great location, great service”
We enjoyed very much our twice 2 days at Moda. Very helpful staff, all the comforts we needed. This, in spite of the fact that on our second stay the elevator broke down. We did not mind walking up the two flights to our top floor room, end the staff brought our baggages up and down. The price was right, but we got the room on an Expedia special. Their regular price I would have considered too expensive.
“Great Location”
Moda is in a great location, close to shopping on Granville and waterfront areas. It is clean and was a great price for the value. The front desk was very helpful with us as we did not know Vancouver very well. It is also very close (a few blocks) from all public transportation that we used for excursions as well as to go back to the airport. There were lots of cute little restaurants nearby for breakfast, and everything including sports venues are within walking distance.
“A good choice for city center hotels.”
Moda is a great city center hotel. We were very pleased with its condition, decor, and quality of service.
“Great find in Vancouver”
I arrived in Vancouver one night ahead of my travel companions and needed to find a convenient and affordable place to stay. I took a chance on the Moda Hotel and was pleasantly surprised by their hospitality and the great location within the downtown area. I took the Canada Line train ($3.75) from the YVR airport to the CIty Centre stop and it was less than three blocks from the Moda; a very easy walk to the hotel. The staff at the Moda were incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and welcoming (there was a note and fortune cookies on the bed). While the view from my room wasn't anything special (I overlook the Staples across the street -- and there are plenty of other phenomenal views everywhere else in Vancouver) the hotel itself has a great urban feel and is extremely convenienent to shopping, dining and other points of interest. It is on the edge of the upscale Yaletown neighboorhood which is full of interesting shops and great restaurants. The hotel itself has a winebar, sportsbar and restaurant on the street level. A few hours after checking out I realized I left my phone charger in the room. A quick call to the hotel (they had stapled their business card onto the map the equipped me with) and the charger was located and ready at the front desk for me to pick up. Definitely would stay at the Moda again.

“well priced and a brilliant location for anyone wanting to explore vancouver”
clean friendly and inexpensive
“Smart and comfortable Moda”
Hotel rooms were being renovated while we were there to upgrade the air conditioning, but the work was well screened off and we were not inconvenienced. Staff could not have been more helpful to us when our luggage was delayed, calling the airline and trying to reach them on the internet. Rooms very smart and comfortable, with complimentary water and coke during the renovations. We would return.
“Hidden Gem”
Excellent location with easy walking distance to downtown. A boutique style hotel with all the comforts you expect. I understand the heating/AC is being renovated in early 2009... an added bonus! The new owners have done an excellent job!
“An Amazing Stay in Vancouver!”
My husband and I decided to stay at the Moda Hotel because of it's boutique-hotel reputation. I must say, this hotel is one of the coolest ones I've been to in while! From the moment we arrived, our room had a few cute gifts waiting for us - my favorite were the delicious "Moda" fortune cookies! They have really nice amenities too. Also, the staff here are an absolute delight! They suggested a few local attractions for us to visit and even helped us with directions. I can't wait to come back here next summer!
