“A sweet getaway!”
A quick family getaway! Milk and cookies and a real wood crib for our son and nothing but a luxurious sleep for my husband and I! next time we'll bring our pooch!!
“Highly recommended”
The hotel is an old world jewel in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Clean, bright and elegant. The room was tastefully decorated. While the bed and chairs were luxurious. We dined in the Griffins restuarant, the service was excellent as were our meals. Well done !
“Phenomenal Location”
Great location, fabulous old majestic hotel. Fantastic valet, maid, bartender and bell hop service. Then I try to get my receipt at noon on a Sat to check out and they have one person working?????
“Urban Escape”
This is a lovely hotel in keeping with all other Fairmont old-world style Grand Hotels. The hotel is perfectly situated amidst great shopping and restaurants, but the hotel is also, itself, an attraction. It was decked out for Christmas with stunning decorations, including a large "house" covered in candies, which served as the entrance to the posh lobby bar. We stayed on the Gold Floor this time, and it was great. The concierges that serviced the main room were welcoming and quietly competent.
“Can't wait to go back”
1st class hotel with 1st class service.
“A Vancouver Landmark”
Our recent stay at the Hotel Vancouver was a night to remember. This is a Vancouver landmark where the rich and famous have stayed over the years. The rooms are elegant and so nicely preserved. Location in the heart of Vancouver was wonderful. Staff very obliging and gracious.
“family fun for all.....”
I picked the Fairmont, and the family loved it.
“Location, location, location”
The location is great and I enjoyed walking to many places. It is a hotel for older people and the decor is dated but I found it very comfortable and charming.
“Wonderful Experience”
Beautiful charming old style hotel situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver. All the amenities one could ask for. Very friendly and well trained staff. Excellent afternoon tea in lounge. Great location.
“Spacious room, comfortable bed, dated bathroom”
True to the Fairmont chain the Hotel Vancouver has style and class. And, as with other older hotels, like the Plaza in NYC, it has maintained much of the character. On the flip side of the character coin, this also means a small and dated bathroom. We stayed for just one night and arrived late and left early. So, apart from a drink and snack in the bar, we did not use the hotel's services. The room was clean, spacious and we had a great sleep. You can't ask much more than that during a quick visit. Because it's shoulder season, the price was right, too. A better value than the nearby boutique hotel we usually stay in.
