“Very good”
I had a fun during stay in your hotel. Good peaceful area.
“Wanted to Stay Longer”
Great service, beautiful hotel, large clean rooms, great property, delicious restaraunts, food a little pricey for India, but still cleap for the north american traveller, far from the street on a large property so you can't even hear the street from your window. You don't really get to experience "real India" from the hotel because it is so big, but it is a great break from the busy and loud streets of India during a trip. We wanted to stay another night!

best option for the area, needs a bit of grounds work, but it is a welcome oasis from the city traffic and dust. Service was out of this world, and the beds were comfy.

The Gateway Hotel is a great place to stay in Varanasi. Room, restaurants, service, were all top quality in every respect. One of the high points of our visit to India.
“Tranquil Oasis in busy city”
This was a lovely hotel with exceptional service. I didn't give "comfort of your room" 5 stars because the air conditioner seemed to struggle a bit, but it wasn't that bad. Staff were very friendly, restaurant had great food. Their upscale restaurant, Varuna, had the best Indian food we've tried after visiting India many times. The pool was very clean and it was genuinely an incredible escape from the extremely busy and dirty streets of Varanasi. It was a 15 minute taxi ride from the Ganges and the old city, but we were happy to be away from it all at the end of the day. If you are visiting Varanasi, this is the hotel you want to stay in!

Such an extraordinary hotel, helpfull staff, great design, very comfortable. I would go back anyday! The pool is nice!
“Real five star - people and services”
My work requires frequent international traveling. My experience at the Gateway Hotel Ganges has been the best. I would look for Taj hotels where ever I can. The response to any concerns, attention to details, personalized care among other things is fantastic. Beyond doubt, Gateway Hotel Ganges is a real Five Star!

This was a bit pricey for us but it was a very nice hotel with good service.

Nice pool area and if you visit during diwali they have fireworks display and the entire area is decorated with lights
