“Everything as advertised.”
Hotel is in a great location - close to the PIazza San Marco, yet quiet. A little difficult to find, but otherwise it was a wonderful couple of days. And the restaurant that shares the same little "square" in with the hotel is very very good.
“Can't Wait to go Back!”
Hotel was a little hard to find. Management spoke english and they were all very accomodating. we got in late and they gave us a suite. Very convienent to everything. Clean rooms and good breakfast choices.
“Characteristic of Venice”
Fabulous location that was ideal to come back to midday and freshen up abit before enjoying all the charm of a late Venice evening.Very quiet.Friendly staff. Breakfst had juice, cereals and breads-quite complete. Would not stay anywhere else- it was perfect.
“Pleasantly surprised....”
Don't let the outside of the hotel stop you from staying there. While the outside looks a bit run down, the inside is nicer. While not a 5 star hotel by any means, if you goal is a cheap, safe, clean hotel in a very good location, this is it. The room itself is a bit small, but it has A/C, a fan, and TV. The bathroom looked brand new and was a good size. The location just north of the Basilica is excellent.
“Great location and good price rooms”
We had an amazing time in Venice, the front desk person we spoke with helped us out tremedously. The manager (we forgot his name), was so helpful and made our time in Venice so enjoyable. The only thing is some of the rooms did not have AC, so pay a little more and upgrade if traveling in the summer months which will make your stay more comfortable.
“Great Location and Great Little Hotel”
This hotel is located steps from San Marco Square (Piazza). We stayed in room 41, it offered air conditioning and a pretty cool view of the narrow pathways and has a good little cafe/osteria behind the hotel (the picture in the hotel description). My girlfriends favorite part of the stay were the church bells that rang every morning, about four of them that made a great little medley, not intrusive at all. As other people suggested it is a little difficult to find, but everyone is willing to help, read below and it will be very easy to find. Some people had a problem with leaving the key with reception, I do not understand this as there is no indication through other reviews of people losing thair stuff, and it also makes it convenient as you do not have to worry about losing your key.
“Simple but very satisfactory.”
The hotel was modestly priced and the accommodation was simple but very satisfactory. Well placed fo rrestaurants and for toursit attractions , I would strongly reccommend it to anyone who does not need all the ' mod cons' that are often unnexccessary , and increase the price.
“I will return”
It was more than I actually expected from a two star hotel in the heart of Venice. The room was clean and customer service was very good. It is a little hard to find but so is everything else in Venice. The breakfast wasn't great but adequate.
“Jewel of a Hotel”
The hotel was great. It was clean and everyone was very nice. The location was unbelieveable, just about five minutes away from San Marco Square. We were actual in middle of everything. The people at the front desk were all very helpful and even one young man help us carry our luggage up stairs. That was the only draw back. But after traveling in many cities in Italy, that was the way it was, stairs, with no elevators. Besides that great hotel. Breakfast was good and the lady in breakfast room was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
“Impressed”
very good location, hotel is basic but what rate they charged within that you can't expect more than that...night shift incharge MR. Shaikh was very nice and very helping guided me about everything of Venice and neighbouring cities and islands!!

Area:
San Marco, Venice, Italy: San Marco (St Marks) is quintessential visitors Venice. The Piazza San Marco, famous for its pigeons, campanile, basilica, Palazzo Ducale (Doges Palace) and expensive cafes, is unmissable. The waterfront views are legendary and more gondolas depart from here than anywhere else in the city. In season the Piazza teems with day trippers though just a block or two away streets are quiet and offer more museums and palaces to explore.
