“Excellent small hotel set in quiet area”
Our trip to Venice was a surprise birthday present for my wife who had no idea until we arrived at the boo-in desk at the airport. The hotel Villa Edera turned out to be an excellent choice and was our first experience booking through Expedia. The hotel is within 5 minutes walking distance from getting off the Vapouretto and in a very quiet location. The rooms are small but adequate, neatly set out, very clean and can be nice and airy. The staff are friendly and always able to assist with any enquiry. The buffet style continental breakfast was good. There are a number of restaurants nearby. 'Trattoria' restaurants normally family run are cheaper and give good menus. Its only about 10 mins from leaving the hotel to getting off the Vapouretto in St Marks square. Lido Island where the hotel is situated is a nice change in the evening after being in Venice centre. Would definitely go again,
“Delightful, convenient, friendly”
We found this small, friendly hotel an ideal place to stay while in Venice. It is about 3 blocks from the Vaporetto (water taxi), and only four stops from St. Mark's Square. The staff was very friendly, spoke excellent English, recommended wonderful local restaurants. and could arrange sightseeing trips if desired. The morning breakfast (included) was more than adequate.
“Superb Place to stay in Venice - highly reccomended.”
The hotel was spotless, the staff was welcoming, and the room decor was absolutely charming. Our room was comfortable and included a private balcony, which was a wonderful surprise. I recommend this hotel to anyone, you won't regret it. The Lido is perfect for a relaxing evening and the hotel is easily reached from the vaporetti stop. I'm surprised this hotel only has 3 stars because it blew the other 3 star hotel we stayed at in Venice out of the water.
“Would recommend this hotel”
Very impressed with this 3 star hotel. Spotlessly clean, well maintained traditional small hotel, away from the noise and bustle but close enough to cafes, shops and restaurants. Polite and helpful staff who spoke acceptable english (better than my Italian). Nice room with en suite shower room and small private patio area on ground floor. My only critiscism was the size of the room, but I understand that hotel rooms in the area are not very big, unless you pay a lot more than we did. Also, not a lot of hanging or storage space. On the whole I would use this hotel again, and recommend it to others.
“venice trip”
lovely hotel,5 minutes on the boat to venice.Staff helpfull and friendly.5 minutes walk to the lido's beach.Nice clean and tidy, maybe wee bet to small rooms it has but appart from it we couldn't see any other disadvantages.Value for the money
“Nice, Clean, Comfortable Hotel”
Hotel was very clean and comfortable, we had a triple room, myself, husband and daughter all impressed, would stay there again if we ever went back!
“Small and quaint”
Our room was nice and clean. My only complaint was the size. It was rather small. We barely had room to put our luggage. Other than that we were well pleased. It was in a good location. The breakfast was satisfactory. It was just a small quiet and quaint hotel. Would probably stay there again if need arrises.
“Great position”
Cute hotel in a great place to visit Venice when you have a car. I think we must have had the same lady on check-in who treated us and our questions as if we were a bother but all other staff were great. The rooms were small but very pretty. There is free parking but you have to ask exactly where it is. The best idea is to buy a 24/36/48hr imob ticket which allows you to travel on all transport even the car ferry.
“Great Hotel in the Lido of Venice”
Great location & price. Paceful but with a lot of restaurants & shops. Only a 5 to 10 minutes vaporetto ride from St. Marks. They also offer free tours to Murano Island every morning.
“a nice place to stay”
short distance from the boat to the hotel - lovely furnished room - very clean - spacious bathroom
